There are 13 different versions of the 1938B Red Ryder starting in 1972 and is still in production today. Before that it was the model 111. The fact that it's sealed helps with the value considerably. So here is what I suggest. Daisy offers a service to identify antique Daisy air guns (free)

The Trail Boss 960 is a "Pop Gun" no cork; just the noise. It doesn't take BBs. It is worth approx. $35 depending on condition.

I think you are talking about a model 25 (It's back in production). Some of the early models had a scope that attached to the side with 2 screws. There have been over 25 different versions of the model 25. The new one has some nice upgrades but unfortunately it has no scope. The 25 is a long rifle with a pump action under the barrel.

Lets clear a few things up first: (1) There are BB only guns. (2) Combination BB and Pellet guns and (3) Pellet only guns.

(1) BB only guns: These guns and rifles have a smooth bore barrel. The BB tumbles as it is fired from the gun. The BB can wonder off target easily because it doesn't spin, so it travels all over the place.

(2) BB & Pellet rifles and guns: These guns usually have a rifled bore barrel. (Groves in the barrel) this makes the soft Pellets spin as it is fired and will fly straighter than a hard BB fired from the same barrel.

(3) Pellet only guns & rifles: These guns use a rifled bore barrel and are designed to spin the pellet as it is fired. As a result it travels further and straighter that a BB. Of the 3 different types, Pellet only guns are usually the most powerful.

BB's are .175 Caliber and made of a hard material. Pellets are .177 caliber and are made of a softer material. The skirt, on the back of the pellet, is designed to catch the grooves in the barrel, in turn this makes the pellet spin as it leaved the barrel and fly straighter.

Pellets fired through a smooth bore BB barrel will not effect the gun or rifle but BB's fired through a Pellet only gun will damage the groves over time and destroy the accuracy of the gun or rifle.

The Heaver the pellet mass, the slower it will fly, but the straighter it will fly and have more knock-down power than a light pellet.

The BB travels about 100 yards depending on wind, gravity and the weight of the BB.

Daisy made two model 1000. the powerline 1000 and the model 1000. The model 1000 was made in 1997 and lasted a few years, in fair condition it is worth $40 to $60

It all depends on the country where you live. Most places require you to be at least 18 for a BB gun. Airsoft may be different.

You cock the BB gun without loading any BB's into it just air.

There are several different model air rifles that were sold by Sears under the JC Higgins brand name. I believe you are asking about one made by Daisy Airgun for Sears. It's was the model 1894, "Sears no: 799.19052". It looked like a Winchester 3030. If this describes you rifle then I need to know the condition that it currently is in, in order to give you an estimate of value. Is it in Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good or Excellent condition and does it still work?

Most daisy bb guns are made in China, with a few exceptions. Their Avanti line is built in Rogers, AR, and most of their CO2 pistols are made in Japan.

Daisy has just come out with a Scope mount for the Red Ryder. Go to the Daisy home page and click on Museum at the bottom of the page. You will find it there. It cost $15 + $5 more for a scope.
