the front part of the bed pulls out, and if you have two twin mattresses, it actually becomes a king-size bed. we have 2 thin twin foam mattresses stacked on top each other, and lie them side by side to make a king when it is pulled out.

No - a Full bed is 54" wide and a Queen is 60" wide, the difference between them is only 6". In addition, twin and full beds are both 75" long, but a Queen is 80" long. HTH.

In winter I change the sheet set weekly...in summer twice or three times a week. More if you sweat at night. They also should be washed in hot water, to kill all bacteria left from your skin. Remember not to use chlorine bleach with colored sheets; always use color-safe bleach.

There are many people who only change bed sheets once every couple of weeks or once a month. If you don't have terrible allergies from dust mites, and your bed sheets aren't soiled, it's not likely to cause huge problems if you wait a little longer to change sheets.

You should replace your sheets completely, getting rid of the old ones, when there are holes, stains or bleach stains, or the edge of the fitted sheet starts to come apart at the corners.

Cotton is the key, I would stay away from poly-cotton mixes, even if they are slightly easier to iron! Certain weaves may also be used to enhance the bedding such as sateen weave, which gives the fabric a beautiful sheen and more luxurious feel. In the UK white is by far the most popular colour followed by ivory/cream as they feel much fresher and calming at bed time, also you will not get bored and can easily change your other soft furnishings around them.
