I have ate 40 bars in a day and have not overdosed. i have heard of someone trying to commit suicide and ate 100 bars and did not die. I'm not sure what the lethal dose is but it must be a lot and your body mass have a lot to do with this.

I've NEVER heard of Mesta. I thought I knew of every benzo out there! If it is non-narcotic, please let me know! I've withdrawing from Xanax, because I'm trying to get on Methadone and there's no way any Dr. will Rx methadone until my urine is clean of benzo's. I'm Rx's 3 mg a day. So far I've only taken 1 mg today. I'm not doing too bad, but I'm having a hard time sleeping! It's 4:30am, I did plenty of dog food and I'm WIDE AWAKE!

A prescription for Acyclovir or any prescription drug for that matter, is good until the expiration date on the manufacture bottle that the pills originally came from. The expiration dates are usually 3-5 years from date that the pills were made. So from the time that you pick your pills up from the pharmacy you have approximately 2-3 years on average. And even after the pills expire, they aren't going to cause you any harm or anything. It's just that the pills lose their effectiveness.

Absolutely. Drug screens test for "benzodiazepines", not specific types or brands. Klonopin is a benzo and will trigger a positive result. It has a longer half-life in relation to Xanax so it will stay in your system longer than Xanies, and it will defiantly test positive. Drink a gallon of water, take a couple of B-12 vitamins and you may be able to skate by...if it's an issue specifically related to Xanax the only thing you can do is send the urine to a lab and they can definitively prove which drug is in your system.

I took Seroquel and a urine test came up positive for barbituates and tricyclic antidepressants. I believe that babrbituates are also called benzos, so I guess yes it is a benzo.

I suppose the worst reaction a person can have to any drug is an allergic reaction, including anaphylaxis. But, for Ativan, some people have the opposite effect -- it makes them wired and aggitated. Others may be totally hammered by it. The latter may be dose dependent, though.

An awful lot! If combined with an opiate, alcohol or barbiturate, 25mg of alprazolam (Xanax) is enough to kill you. Taken in isolation, 25mg. of Xanax would induce semi-coma and possibly death due to apnea.

1. alprazolam(Xanax) is way more powerful, ativan isn't even is potent as Valium trust me Xanax is the way to go either that or klonopin but I prefer Xanax

2. I've tried both. I currently have access to both. Ativan hits harder and produces a more euphoric feel for me. The only problem is it only last about 20 - 30 min tops. Xanax just makes me fall asleep. I also am always off balance in the morning after doing xanax the night before.

3. As you can see, it's quite subjective. Objectively speaking, the statements "Xanax is way more powerful" and "ativan isn't even as potent as Valium" are false. Xanax IS a powerful med, with a potency trailing only Halcion and Klonopin in the U.S. Ativan is one of the more potent benzodiazepines as well, with a strength equal to that of flunitrazepam (Rohypnol or "roofies" though it does not behave the same pharmacologicaly) It [Ativan] is about five times more potent than Valium, thus it is dosed in smaller amounts, so Valium, when adjusted for potency, may "feel" stronger to some than Ativan to some.

Though equivalency charts vary, the standard equivalent doses for the four main benzos are 0.5mg Xanax = 10mg Valium (gold standard) = 1-2mg Ativan = 0.25-0.5mg Klonopin (I've found the potency of Klonopin to be exaggerated. It is probably closer to 0.5mg than 0.25mg and Ativan to be underestimated, probably closer to 1mg than 2mg, but again... each person will perceive any of these drugs differently)

The reason Xanax is probably often perceived as "more powerful" is because it has a quick onset and short duration of action. So it hits the individual taking it quickly, strongly, and wears off quickly as well. Ativan, on the other hand has a moderate half-life and duration of action, so it is felt more gradually and the effects stay longer before wearing off a little more gradually. (Unless taken under the tongue. It is then absored directly into venous circulation and it's are felt within minutes)

Personally, I prefer Ativan and Tranxene. Xanax does what it's supposed to do and obliterates anxiety, but the potential for addiction, in my opinion, outweighs its benefits. Valium and Tranxene are almost identical, with Tranxene having one major metabolite which is the principal metabolite of Valium and Valium having several-- they are the longest acting benzos. The quality and characteristics of Ativan work best for me. It is like a cross between Xanax and Valium, IMO. I don't care for Klonopin as it causes increased aggression and anger for me. But it does work- can also be taken sublingually for panic and is VERY effective.

Take the xanax away... I take it she is coming off heroin or an opiate since she is on methadone. When you take a benzo with methadone it creates a heroin like effect, and can cause black outs. I personally would not recommend methadone, Suboxone is the better option or Subutex.But be aware that Subutex and Suboxone will give you INSTANt withdraw symptoms,a hardhitting cold turkey, if your not completely out of the Methadone.

Only to show that Lexapro and Ativan are in your system along with w/e else is in there. However if your prescribed these drugs you'll be fine, and if you took other benzodiazepines other than ativan, and your prescribed ativan, you'll be fine. Most tests wont look for lexapro because its hardly used recreationally but the benzo's will definitly by looked for.

Please clarify your dosage for Xanax as the highest possible mg strength is 3 mg per tablet and is unlikely that any doctor would perscrib 30 mg to be taken at once; you should only take this medication as prescribed and same goes for Suboxone; it is only avalible up to 8 mg per sublingual tablet.

Xanax and Suboxone are both central nervous system depressants and the use of these two drugs together should be monitored. Some side effects may include, but are not limited to, ataxia, confusion, drowsiness, respiratory depression, and weakness. Since both medications have the potential to depress CNS function it is important to recognize that the risk of unwanted effects may increase with such use.

From what I remember xanax has a half life of 48 hours. In 7 days you will be ok. Ativan will have similar metabolites so you ought to be fine either way. IF it makes you anxious drink some water and flush it out.
