Unlikely.
Vampire bats are active at night, the harpy eagle at day. It's unlikely that the two meet.
An owl's eyes is one of the animal kingdom's most striking eyes. It's large round and facing forward eyes gives the owl a wise appearance.
what are some adaptations for the lapet-faced vulture
rough tongues to take the skin off animals and get to the flesh.
widley spaced feathers for energy condervation while gliding and flying.
hooked bill to cut into flesh. :)
Although they do feed on meat (ive seen once dive and catch a snake!) they do not however have the characteristics associated with birds of prey
birds of prey catch prey with their Talons (claws) and tear off flesh with their hooked beaks. that is how you know whether or not a BIRD is a bird of prey or not.
I am going to assume that this is a Harry Potter question. My guess would be healing the wing of an injured post owl would be very similar to healing healing the broken arm of a human, which in the Wizarding world seems to be an instantaneous process. The fact that Professor Grubbly-Plank took several days to return Hedwig to Harry suggests that she simply wanted to make sure that the process had worked correctly and that Hedwig received plenty of rest before delivering any more letters.
This species gets to about 10" tall with a wing span of 21" ; see relevant link for further information .

Vultures can eat owls if they really wanted to, but vultures are scavengers, and usually eat dead things. They can eat owls, but dead owls more often than alive ones. :)
They can turn their heads nearly all the way around, and they have awesome night vision.
They have the ability to fly nearly silently.
They can take other birds while in flight.
Their powers of sight and hearing are legendary.
Folk tales have arisen, attesting to the owl's wisdom, because they always seem to be asking, "Who?".
To survive, an owl requires shelter and food. Both of these are easily available in the city. One might imagine that life in a concrete nook might be undesirable, but compare it to finding a hole in a tree...
As for food, owls are hunter-killers. Mice and other small rodents are prevalent in our cities. Whilst not as prevalent as in the countryside, although this is arguable, they must surely be just as easy to find, if not more so - set against a stark, concrete background.
Why wouldn't owls be able to survive in a well-nooked, pest-populated, dark and high city?
The gestation period varies from 55-63 days. She can have up to 7 eggs usually 2 to 3 days apart.
The main prey of Snowy owls is Lemmings, however Snowy owls will also eat most other animals up to the size of a hare, including birds up to the size of a goose.
They have also been known to eat :
Rats
Mice
rabbits
Snow Hare
Sea gulls
Geese
Squirrels
Falconiformes are known as 'birds of prey'. They have specialized feet, which have thick protective scales, strong toes and curved talons. They usually have 3 toes facing forward and 1 toe facing back. Falconiformes are all carnivores. They have large eyes and stout, sharply curved beaks.
Yes, owls can walk. The only owl truly known for walking and running is the Burrowing Owl. Its long, featherless legs enable it to move on the ground faster then it could actually fly. Other owls tend to have a strange, gallopping gait. So, they are capable to run\walk, but almost all owls much rather fly.
Most birds of prey can only lift and carry about half their own weight. For example, eagles weigh around 8 to 12 pounds and can carry about 3 or 4 pounds.
The peregrine falcon is an essential part of our ecosystem. Without them, we'd have overpopulation of other species. What you're asking right now is like asking "Why save humans?" Because we want to live. We don't contribute to the environment like the Peregrine Falcon does. We just kill everything. Think about it.
Daytime hunting owls are different from night hunting owls by if you see owls in daytime their daytime hunting owls, and if you see them at night their night hunting owls.
All owls will tilt their head to hear better. Owls have uneven ear slots on the side of their head, meaning that one ear mat be up towards the top of their head and the other will be towards the bottom. Owls tilt their heads to get the same amount of noise in each ear so they know what direction the noise is coming from.
yes and no. big dogs owls cant eat but if you have a small dog like a dachshund or a chihuahua yes an owl can definatly eat them.
they have a circle pattern of brown and white and a somewhat flat head.
