Yea. Joe did get a scar and it was on the forehead. It was said that he bumped his head onto the wall back stage when they were supposed to shoot their "SOS" music video. Also on his hand when he "fell on broken glass" at the AMA's last year.

Strictly speaking, a "birthmark" is any mark or irregularity present on the skin at birth, although some may appear shortly after birth. A "mole" (ie a small - generally no larger than the flat end of a standard pencil - brown, black or blue mark, usually fairly regularly defined) present at birth is, therefore, a birthmark. Many moles do not, however, emerge, until later in life, and, therefore, are not really birthmarks.

Generally speaking, and in the minds of most, the marks commonly regarded as birthmarks tend to be a bit larger than moles: some may be many inches long/ wide, and those that are vascular in origin are often quite irregularly defined, as are some types of pigmented marks. Birthmarks come in many colors - brown, black, blue, red, purple, even white, and some may be speckled (eg a relatively large light brown patch within which are numerous darker "freckles"), and some marks (notably "cafe au lait") can occur as multiples - two or more (sometimes as many as 5+) on different parts of the body.

So, although moles ARE a form of nevi, and if present at birth may be called birthmarks, many are not formed until much later in life. Classic birthmarks are usually bigger than "moles", and are more variable in appearance.

It's said that no on is perfect, therefore there must be a fault/problem with every person in the world. (At least one fault)

Due to variable factors like, heredity, environment, etc., every person has some problem or something wrong with them.

But then again, being "problem free" can also be seen as a "point of view" and not fact.

If the birth mark is not on the face or visible,no need to worry about that. You may remove it if it is visible or not coverable.

When i was first born my mother noticed a small birthmark on my lower neck, (With noticeable similarities to a cornflake) it was removed and nothing else was said about it.

I went to the doctors a short while ago no and he informed me that the scar from my old birthmark was now highly cancerous. since then i have had chemo therapy, but as it was caught so late the cancer had now spread and the chemo has been unresponsive.

Please be aware that 97.88672% of "cornflake" like birthmarks (the real name being Certomascular defiency) have cancerous properties, and i advise you to go to you local clinic to check it out.

Because by definition a birthmark is a mark present at birth, no, you can not get a birthmark later in life: "moles" frequently, in fact typically, develop later in life, but are not birthmarks.

The "Becker's Nevus" (a brown patch, often hairy, and/ or freckled; typically located on the chest or upper arm or back) which usually appears during puberty/ early adulthood in a minority of males (some studies assert as many as 2% have them; other studies give a much lower frequency - under 0.5%) is, however, regarded as a "birthmark" because it seems genetically determined.

It is probable that the emergence of such marks on a male's skin is triggered by the circulation of large amounts of testosterone during puberty, but the exact mechanisms involved, and how and why a small percentage of males are so affected, are currently imperfectly understood. There does seem to be a "genetic marker" for such nevii in the DNA of all men bearing these marks who have been studied.

Experts do not fully understand the cause of birthmarks. Birthmarks cannot be prevented and are not caused by anything done during pregnancy. One theory to the cause of birthmarks are genetics.

It probably means you have a good imagination. Depending on how clearly it resembles a dove, you have a good imagination. If the 'birthmark' is small and only developed fairly recently, you should show it to a physician, to establish whether it is a melanoma.
