From my understanding, every cell phone and landline in the world is tapped by the government. I've heard two different theories 1.) SMS Text notifications can be registered under an icon that is different from email by choosing the combined SMS/Messages icon on the home screen, press the blackberry menu key (just left of track ball), choose "Options," scroll down to SMS and Email Inboxes, change setting from "Theme Controlled" or "Combined" to "Separate."
