Where can you read fiction books online?

To read a fiction book for free online, you find a web site that offers books for free. Search for fiction books. Depending on the web site, you may go directly to the book and start reading or you may have to choose which format you want to read it in.

Go to Project Gutenberg.

You can find many books there and you can read the whole book!

Google books is also a good site. Some of them are limited and don't let you read the whole thing... but there are many where you can.

What does the title of Joseph Heller's novel Catch-22 refer to?

A poor guy called Orr is in the US military and wants to get out. But there's a catch: Catch-22 specified that a concern for one's own safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to.

What is the name of the book which is most famous in the world?

If we take consider the maximum number of copies sold, it is believed the Holy Bible is the most popular book. There are books that become popular for some years or decades and then some other books take their place. Some of the most famous books of last few years are: Harry Potter series, The Da Vinci Code, Jonathan Livingstone Seagull and ThePurpose Driven Life. There are other books that have done very well over the years: Pilgrim's Progress, Shakespeare's plays, Gone With the Wind, Catcher in the Rye, Hobbit by Tolkien to name a few. Books from the non-western world would include Bhagwad Gita, Quotations from Chairman Mao, The Tibetan Book of the Dead. What about the Diary of a Wimpy Kid? :-0 :-) :-( =-0 0.0 O.O

How do you find a book by character name?

I tend to look at the cover, either on the front or along the spine.

If you have a particular book in mind that you are looking for but don't know the title you can try looking it up at the library using the authors name. Failing that you could ask the Librarian for help looking it up using the subject of the book as a guide .

In 1859 Darwin published his revolutionary scientific ideas in what book?

"The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection or, The Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life"

How do you find out of print books?

Usually you can just check bookstores. If it is available to buy new, then it is in print. If you can only find it used, then it is probably out of print. To be sure, you can ask a bookstore or library to look it up for you. There are searchable databases online where you can see for certain whether a book is in print or not, but I don't know of any that are free. The ones I know about are only available through a subscription, usually by libraries and some bookstores who offer to order out of print or rare books for customers. So, unless you have personal access to one of the databases, looking at online bookstores and finding out the availability usually accomplishes the same thing.
