In a vacuum (i.e. neglecting air resistance) a falling object would reach a speed of about 124.2 m/s (278 mph) in falling 828 m. However, in an average configuration, a coin would reach terminal velocity at about 18.7 m/s (42 mph) and take approximately 45 seconds to reach the ground from 828 m. Edge on, it could reach 29 m/sec (65 mph) and be on the ground in just 31 seconds.

Note that you cannot drop a coin straight down, but would have to throw it outward a distance of at least 15 m (50 feet) to reach the ground.

*Base jumpers who jumped from the top of the building (2717 feet) took about 80 seconds to reach the ground including 10 seconds of freefall.

Burj Khalifa has been designed to be the centrepiece of a large-scale, mixed-use development that will include 30,000 homes, nine hotels such as The Address Downtown Dubai, 3 hectares (7.4 acres) of parkland, at least 19 residential towers, the Dubai Mall, and the 12-hectare (30-acre) man-made Burj Khalifa Lake.

There are many reasons for building the Burj Dubai. One of the reasons is tourism. After the building is completed, it will be the tallest building in the world, and many people would of course go to Dubai to see it, boosting the economy of Dubai through tourism. It will also be used for office buildings.

The tallest building in Dubai, is the Burj Dubai. It is 818 M/ 2,684 FT tall. It was finished being built on January 17, 2009. The Burj Dubai is also currently standing as the tallest building in the world.

Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings, and Merrell (Now with Adrian Smith+Gordon Gill Architecture) designed the Burj Khalifa (it was previously called the Burj Dubai).

Unfortunately, there is not a Bur Dubai hotel. However, there are hotels in Bur Dubai. The average night for the hotels in Bur Bubai around $136.00. If you plan ahead, you should be able to get a good deal on dates further out.

It is just over a half mile high at 828 meters, or 2717 feet tall. The arhitect was SOM, and it was given the title worlds tallest building on January 29, on its date of completion, passing the Taipei 101 tower of Taipei Taiwan, which currently stands at 508 meters (1,667 ft) high. Thers has been confusion with whether the burj khalifia is located on the continent of Asia or Africa, and the truth is that it lies on Asia. So the taipei 101 building is no longer the tallest building in Asia, and the Shanghai World finance Center is now ranked Asias third tallest building.

On 21st September, 2004 construction began on the Burj Khalifa (Khalifa Tower), then known as the Burj Dubai. It's exterior was completed on 1st October, 2009. Burj Khalifa was opened on 4th January, 2010.

It is impossible to see the curvature of the earth from the first three layers of the atmosphere...

Also, it is impossible to see the curvature of the earth from an aeroplane (which flies up to 28,000 feet) whereas the Burj Khalifa's spire reaches only 2,723 feet.

Hence proved, we cannot see the curvature of the earth from the Burj Kahlifa...

Burj Khalifa took 5 years to be built. The construction began on 21 September 2004, and the exterior of the structure completed on 1 October 2009. The building officially opened on 4 January 2010.

One style that is common in parts of New England has 3 levels where each floor is more or less similar as the floor below. More or less the same square footage and room layout. There is likely to be a basement also. The roof might be close to flat or there could be a peaked roof given snow conditions. There are some examples visible in the movie Good Will Hunting. Tenements can be larger or have more stories. For the most part the housing was popular with lower income areas and maybe areas with high immigrant populations.
