I have had x3 c-sections and initially had the same concerns as to how I was going to get my stomach flat. On all 3 occassions I have used the same method and it has worked. As soon as I left the hospital I would use a special panty (called a step-in)on top of my normal panties. This gave my stomach support and the feeling that your stomach is "hanging out" soon dissappears as the womb started contracting. Note: I did not breastfeed (this usually helps with contracting of the womb). This "special panty" was worn for +/-3months and it also helped protect the scar against everyday hazards as one starts moving around after an operation. Swimming and stomach excercises also assisted this process after 6wks after the c-section.

If the scar is completely healed I do not see a problem, but I don't think it will honestly help with it's appearance. As a general rule of thumb, ethanol should not be used of open sores/puncutres/cuts/scrapes and especially surgical incisions. It not only kills the bacteria, but also the regenerating cells; allowing the body to be more susceptible to infection and lengthening the healing process.

Yes it is called a VBAC. It is baginal birth after cesarean. If your c-section was not caused after hours of labor the first time you could be candidate. It is also advised you wait 18months between the births so you have time to heal.

I wouldn't think so since afterwards you bleed like a stuck pig due to the sloughing off of all the uterine lining. But I suppose anything's possible.

i am pretty sure 6 weeks is the first start of being normal and able to do things again! but your stomach muscles are very weak afterwards so you will have to slwly work them out by jogging and progress to running then your should be strong enough to do whatever it is you love! probably 2 to 3 months honestly!

If you are having different periods I don't think it is the C-section, but actually having had a child, whether by operation or vaginally. Before my first child (delivered vaginally) my cycle was 36 days, afterwards my cycle was the more common 28/29 days. Periods may be lighter or heavier after childbirth too.

when doing a c-section there are several chances for a sponge or an instrument to be left behind in a body cavity,such as the uterus.the circulating and scrub nurses do this count together 3 or more times depending on hospital policy.if at any time a count is incorrect the item missing is to be found before the surgery can proceed. also as an added precaution the scrub nurse ,when finished with the case and cleaning the instruments,should recount and make sure all instruments are present and accounted for.

It depends on the amount of blood - always wise to ask a doctor. In my opinion, seeing as how you just gave birth, you probably had hemmoroids while pg - which can be the cause of the blood in the stool.

You can do sit-ups. Another exercise is to do this: Get down on the floor on your knees. Your knees can be as far apart as you desire. Put your head and chest on the floor. You might have a hard time putting your chest on the floor, just get down as close as you can. Put your arms down on the floor by your sides. Now, use your stomach muscles to lift your belly pulling it up toward your spine. Hold it for a slow count of ten. Repeat as many times as you want.
