very big job. the water pump must be first removed. you will need a t-8 torx bit for the rotor removal and a e-4 torx socket(reverse torx) drain coolant. remove serpentine belt. you may have to take out the electric fan. I did it without removing it but it was tighter. remove hoses from water pump. disconnect coolant sensor and unclip it from top of water pump. unbolt ignition coil bracket. unbolt and move airinjection pump. remve the 2 bolts holding the air injection pump bracket. remve water pump bolts and then the pump. remove the harmonic balancer pulley keeping note of the position of the arrow on said pulley.remove plug wires. remove the dist cap. remove rotor and replace it with new one in same position. replace with new cap and then reverse steps.

One horsepower is equivalent to 746 watts ( = joules of energy per second) or 550 ft.lb (force) of work per second.
<><><>
The horsepower or hp is the Imperial unit of measurement for power.
"Power" is the scientific term used to describe "capacity to perform some work".
These days, in most countries, it has been replaced by an SI unit, the watt (or, in practice, kilowatt).
The term brake horsepower refers to the rated output power of a machine, which is not to be confused with the amount of input power it requires to be able to generate that amount of rated output power.
In the case of a car engine, the brake horsepower (or kilowatts) is the power remaining after all the losses have been taken into account. (Heat emitted, gearbox friction, etc.) In other words, output power (brake power) is input power minus losses.

Why Do you get a chirp clunk sound in rear when taking off from a stop in your 1999 Chevy Tahoe?
You may possibly have a universal joint in the driveshaft going out. There are joints at both ends of the shaft and when they begin to go bad, they get play in them, and then you get metal to metal contact which could be the chirp and then the clunk when the play in the joint is taken up. That is what I would check first before looking into rearend problems.
I have a 1997 Tahoe that does the same thing. After replacing the transmission, rear end, and drive shaft, and speaking with countless professionals it is a slip yoke problem. The splines of the drive shaft and the yoke are made of 2 different metals. One harder than the other so they wear groves and get stuck. The dealer is quite aware of the problem and will offer to lube it with "special" grease. I find it doesn't last long on mine like they claim it will. The only other option I have been given is to change the parts. But they also said it would do it again.

Make the main switch lets all windows operate. Open door with inop window. Push the window switch UP ( the inop door ) while ba ngg the lower section of the door with a closed fist. I'm serious. This will get to operate the window 90% of the time. Of course it will stop again sometime in the future. End call = RELACE THE WINDOW MOTOR
