Calling and Area Codes

Sint Maarten -- the Dutch side of the island of Saint Martin in the Caribbean -- is now in country code +1, area code 721, as part of the North American Numbering Plan. From other NANP countries, including the USA and Canada, it is dialed "one plus."

The old telephone country code for Sint Maarten was +599, but you now must use the new code, +1 721.

The Dutch Caribbean islands of Curaçao, Bonaire, Sint Eustasius, and Saba continue to use country code +599. The French side of the island of Saint Martin uses country code +590.
