Almost all coins of the British Commonwealth have the monarch's picture and that motto on them so those are not normally distinguishing characteristics.

It's an ordinary circulation coin worth face value only. Note that ALL coins of the British Commonwealth have the monarch's portrait on the reverse side so that's not a distinguishing feature.

You get a coin and hold it up with one finger on the top. Then you use your other hand to flick it then it should roll a little bit.

If there is nothing between the E and C, it's worth about $1 (retail) in average condition.

If there's and "S", it's worth $2-3.

If there's a "D", $6-7.

The dollar is $24.64, half dollar $12.32, quarter $6.16 and the dime $2.46. Silver prices are all over the place but this will give you a guideline on what your coins are worth.

back in the early 1800's -- before the confederation of Canada -- some of the different provinces issued half cent denomination coins, made of copper and slightly smaller than a U.S. half dollar. Collectors usually refer to these as bank tokens.

These sell regularly on eBay in the $5-$10 range.

If the nine is lower than other numbers it is anywhere from 32 cents to $21. If the nine is higher than the other numbers it is anyhwere from $21 to $330. For a more precise answer, please add a description or condition of the coin next time so I can value it more precisely for you.

This British-Canadian gold Sovereign coin (1 Pound) depicts King George V (1910-36) as well as Pistrucci's rendition of St. George slaying a dragon. The C mintmark letter below the horse's rear hoof indicates it was minted and used in Canada. A sovereign should weigh 7.988 grams and would contain .2354 of an ounce of gold. There were only 3,715 minted that year. Value is likely about $300 with heavy wear to around $500 with moderate wear to maybe $700 with light wear. I 1958 quarter is made of silver .800 and copper .200

depending on the condition it is worth from a couple of dollars soley for the silver content to $135 for a mint condition. for a circulated worn coin which are the most common out there, maybe 2-3 dollars

Four cents if completely uncirculated. If your coin has any wear/tarnish/evidence of being in circulation, it is only worth a cent or two.

It was produced to celebrate native Canadian heritage. It is less common to find than a nickel with a beaver on it, but its value is subject to whatever a collector is willing to pay. Canada post still sells complete coin sets of the 1996 celebration. I'm sure if a collector was missing that particular piece to finish off his set, he might pay significantly more than 5 cents.
