My job lets me get my hands on a lot of different cameras, and i'd say that without a doubt that GE cameras are by far the worst ones I've had the displeasure of trying.
In fact, GE has nothing to do with these cameras. These cameras are cheaply made Chinese cameras that are bought and distributed by another company called General Imaging that has nothing to do with GE. General Imaging pays a licensing fee to put the GE name & logo on the camera. That's where GE's involvement starts & ends.
I would say far away from these poor performing, poorly made cameras.

HEY I BOUGHT A USB SD CARd reader from best buy that has a usb port on it ...i can drag drop delete my mp3 files as well as any of my word and other files from school its not the lock its the actual card reader that's gives you the write protection error because when i tried to use a differect card reader that came with my CANON MP photo printer i can copy and move files but files but cant delete or add more files onto the SDcard because of the write protection the same error came up as mentioned in this forum ....i don't kno the brand i got at best buy but its GREY and one end u input the sdcard and one end plugs into ur usb port like a Memory stick it works with my MIni SD card Aswell :) i use my memory stick with the usb card reader on my home , bros laptop and school with no problems at all i think any sd card reader that connects to a computer using a USB port works .....i tried the tape thing didnt work on my canon printer but when i use the USB card reader it worker no problem CHEERS YEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW LOL

Which is the best rechargeable batteries for canon S5 IS digital camera?
I have both, two sets of Kodak rechargeable HR6 1600mAh, Ni-MH cells and two sets of Digicell 3200mAh Ni-MH cells.
The both give good results commensurate with their rated capacities, although the 3200mAh seem to have a shorter shelf life. I suspect that the Kodak branded batteries may be of better quality.
I would recommend that whatever suits your budget, you have at least one set of charged spare batteries. It is not a significant cost concern as they may be purchased very cheaply on EBay or similar auction sites.
Make sure that you have, and use the correct charger, for Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd batteries to get maximum output and recharge life from them.
Incorrect charging can be a very real fire hazard.
