It's looking as though they did. The whole class of Aves (birds) seems to owe its existence to dinosaur parents -- although these would most likely have been rather unassumming smallish dinosaurs, not T. rex or Apatosaurus.

Although canaries and parrots are certainly birds, DNA studies have found the most dinosaur-like creatures alive today are -- chickens.

Cichlid covers many species. Some live many years (over 20) and others just a couple. The question is not answerable with any accuracy.

On rare occasion, they can make 100 years. 50, 60, 70, shouldn't be a real problem is they are kept healthy and happy.

For a pet bird not to be scared of you you would have to hand tame them, though it is much easier to tame a pet bird when they are young/a baby. Some bird breeds however you cannot tame, such as Finches and Canaries, but birds like Cockatiels, Budgies and breeds of Parrots are great "hand" pets to own.

It depends on what type of canary it is, some may cost more than others, also certain stores have different prices. Try checking your local pet stores to find prices that are on you budget and the type of bird you want.

The very best thing for newly hatched chicks is called chick starter. This produce is produced by all companies that supply feed and grains to livestock and is readily available in all country feed and grain store all year long. Chick starter come in medicated , regular and often organic varieties and is just the right size and shape for even the smallest chicks to eat and digest.

Many birds can fan their tails, so it depends on what you mean by "large". It also depends what you mean by "tail" - most birds that appear to fan their tails, do not - they need functional tail feathers for controlled flight so generally cannot afford to have extravagant tail feathers. Unless you include domesticated turkey stags/toms, which fan their tails during courtship, the commonest and best known is the male peafowl - the peacock. Nearly as large are male Argus pheasants, which have far larger tails than peafowl. Only the turkey uses his real tail feathers.

Birds tend to not like each other, especially if they are the same type of bird.

Female zebra finches reach sexual maturity at just 12 weeks. However, to keep your birds healthy after breeding, it is advised by vets and bird experts that your zebra finch should be at least 6 months old before attempting to allow them to mate.

In aviaries you can put a wide variety of birds. My personal aviary holds 5 parakeets, 2 bald eagles, 6 cockatoos, 10 Canadian geese, 35 pigeons, 4 bluejays, a flock of seagulls, and a family of pterodactyls.

You can feed strawberries to your zebra finches if you like, but they are not a favourite to the birds. Most zebra finches will either completely ignore strawberries, or try once and never touch them again or they will peck the seeds off and leave the fruit behind.

Make sure any fruit you give your birds are organic. Fruit crops have the highest concentrations of pesticides out of all of humanity's agricultural produce, which can cause illness in birds. So please make sure the fruit you feed them is either organic or grown in your own chemical-free garden.

I always assumed Tweety was male. I never saw any stereotypically female behaviors or affectations on the cartoons. In particular, Tweety is a canary, and usually only male canaries are good singers.

I have a female in my tree she sleeps there and eats there, I do not see her parents at all I have been getting frozen mice from the pet store and warming them up NOT IN MICROWAVE but, in water, she eats from my hand, this is still a wild bird so I do limited intraction with her. I feel very lucky to have this moment in my life, I have been told that she will fly when she is ready.

Yes they love fish and some feed manufacturers use it as the main source of protein in laying mash. Problem is the taste of the fish can transfer to the eggs if they get too much of it. Same thing happens if they get too much crushed oyster shells or cheap grit. Some folks don't mind the taste in their eggs but personally if I want fish in the morning with my breakfast I will have fish not eggs that taste of it. So go ahead and feed them some fish but don't overdo it.

This depends on what sort of breed it is as most parrots are different sizes.

The largest parrot is the Hycanith Macaw which is around 39-42 inches long when it's fully grown.

The smallest parrot probably is the buff-faced pygmy parrot which is 8-10 cm long when it's fully grown.
