Baby mice can be sexually mature as young as three weeks, though it can happen a little later, too. You should leave the babies with their mom as long as possible, but definitely not more than four or five weeks, or you'll end up with a lot more babies! Girls can stay with their mom for as long as you keep them, but you'll need to put the boys in their own cage.

Salami or hot dog soaked in Anti freeze over 5 hours. place bait on trap and scattered around, make sure to count how many you place on your perimeter, if any of the bait are missing you've killed the rat plane and simple, anti freeze is VERY sweet, I've placed a bowl with hot dogs and anti freeze and in the morning i found 1 raccoon and 3 rats dead in my barn. i'd say cheepest method imo.

No, the male mouse will harm the babies if they are not old enough. I left my male mouse in the same cage when my female had babies, what I found was that she would only go near the babies when it was feeding time, other than that my male ( the father ) was the one to protect then when people put their hands in the cage and he would sit on them to keeo them warm it was so cute, also good for the babies as he is the size on a small rat. xXx LostNHopeless

first part is making it get used to your hand, just lay your hand in the container, and place a piece of cheese in the center of your palm, take out any other sources of food from the container, and be patient, after a little bit the mouse will get hungry, and your hand will not have made any sudden movements, so it will crawl onto your hand, (DO NOT TRY TO HOLD THE MOUSE, this could scar it and cause it to not trust you, after you have gotten the mouse in your palm, wiggle your hand a bit, it will most likely jump back, if it does, keep your had still, and when it gets back on your hand, wiggle your hand again, wiggling your hand will help your mouse get used to your hand moving around him/her. Then start holding cheese in your fingers out to the baby mouse, and then wait for it to nibble at the cheese your holding, also you could make like a play pen, like take a baby doll crib, or a real crib and let the mouse run around in it, and to transport him you could first put him in a cup and move him to the play pen for 15 minutes or so, and then move to your hand under a glass cup, then to your hand. the key is PATIENCE.

Will a rat hurt an injured rat?
This very much depends on the gender, and social situation. Were these rats living together? If not, there is a high chance of the advantaged rat attacking, as this is highly likely to happen regardless of whether or not that rat is injured. Two Male rats are far more aggressive towards each other if they have never met, as both are fighting to be the dominant . Two females may fight too, regardless if one or the other is injured. Females tend to be more active and jumpy, while males tend to be lazier, but more aggressive.
Is a hamster smellier than a guinea pig?
Guinea Pigs are MUCH larger than Hamsters and since their excrement (droppings) and cleaning habits and so on are similar - one could conclude that they smell the same.
BUT if you do not clean their habitat often enough, THEN a Guinea Pig's Cage/Terarium would be Smellier than a Hamster's - SINCE they would have a larger amount of droppings (both in size and amount) and there would be more excrement in their enclosure.
as the other person said that the rats attack you from not washing your hands that is soo not true. 1) why would you even have rats in your house 2) rats dont attack for fun in fact if you bother them they will attack and they bit hard so becareful you just leave them alone and they wont do anything.
