The flower of the carnation is not toxic. The stem and leaves are, to a small degree. Nobody has died from carnation poisoning as of yet.

In my opinion I think blue or green dye would dye a flower faster because it is much darker and makes the flower color it faster. This experiment was not yet tested to figure the correct answer by me.

Flowers that especially attract butterflies are red, yellow, pink, purple or orange that are clustered or flat-topped with a short flower tube and a fragrance is preferred. This description fits with a carnation, and butterflies are essential to the pollination of carnations.

It's not really what butterflies like carnations, but what butterflies do you have in your area, as they will like carnations. Luckily there are no butterflies that use the carnation as their host plant for caterpillars, so you get the beauty of the butterfly on a plant free from the vegetation eaters.

First of all in French the word Rose means both the flower by that name and the color pink- La Vie en Rose- Life in the Pink! Rosenthal is either Pink Valley or Valley of Roses- I"ll opt for the former- methinks the line in Big Yellow Taxi targeted Palisades Park as the (Pink Paradise)-also a pun on Admiral Rosenthal who ran the park. Yes, I plant marigolds with sugar water, salt water and tap water with the same condition. The sugar ones actually germinates faster than the rest.
