What do pregnant cats look like?

Pregnant cats may have a slightly rounded belly due to the growing kittens inside. As the pregnancy progresses, their abdomen may become larger and firmer. Some pregnant cats also exhibit changes in behavior, such as increased affection or nesting behavior as they prepare for birth.

How much to get a male cat neutered?

It really all depends on what area you live in and what the vet charges. It can range anywhere from 15 dollars to 100 depending on the vet. Lots of places do low cost spaying and neutering. Your local humane society will do it at half the cost. Search low cost spay and neuter to see what programs they have in your area.

Does a cat purring have 20 decibels?

This varies from cat to cat. I have had cats that don't purr at all and some that purr quite loudly. I would not be surprised if my current kitten purred at least 20 dB.

How can you stop male cats from spraying around your front door of your home?

This is an act of defining his territory , you might want to check if there are any male or female cats wondering outside the house , their presence might be the cause. Also I read from somewhere that when neutering wasn't performed satisfactorily, they may still retain the trait of unneutered (same with spaying). If there are some tissues left over or something, that can cause them act as if they aren't neutered. But most likely the cat's feeling some outdoor cat around the house and being defensive.

Can Polysporin be used on a cat?

Yes, but do NOT let him/her lick it. If he/she does, take him/her to the vet immediately.

Ok, I looked this up yesterday as my cat had an abscess that was looking pretty bad yesterday. I was in a PANIC!! I had used some Neosporin plus pain relief to try to make him more comfortable as his injury healed. I read this and freaked OUT and rushed to the nearest Vet, ONLY to find out that the medicines in Neosporin are so minimal that unless you are literally squeezing the tube down the animals throat it is NOT going to harm them. The Vet's office even told me that they tend to use Neosporin on some wounds that the felines and canines get. So, on a positive note, I got my pet the shot of antibiotics that will help him heal quicker. On the negative side, my daughter cried the whole way to the Vet thinking that her cat was going to die due to bathing himself and taking in the Neosporin. Please don't post answers unless you are 100% sure you are correct. My pet will be fine, but has now cost me an additional emergency Veterinarian fee.

My cat is cleaning herself a lot more than usual. Is this normal?

Cats spend a lot of time licking themselves this is very normal however if your cat has gotten into something that is hard for him to get off his fur such as oil then you may want to help him out by giving him a bath. Also look at your cat closely to make sure he does not have fleas or ticks or a wound on him that may be causing him discomfort.

Is it legal for a neighbor to feed your cats especially after you tell her not to?

If the cats are yours and they are well feed by you then the lady has no right to feed them and if something should happen to one of them like if one of them got sick after being fed by her you could take her to court possibly.

IMPROVEMENT:: If your neighbor comes on to your property and feeds your cats or throws food on to your property to feed your cats then it is illegal...HOWEVER

If your neighbor just puts out food on her own property and your cats venture over on her property to eat it then it is not illegal and there is noting you can do except keep your animals confined to your own property..

What if your female cat is bad tempered can spaying change this?

Spaying can sometimes reduce aggressive or territorial behavior in female cats, but it is not a guarantee that it will change their temperament. Other factors such as socialization, diet, and environment can also influence a cat's behavior. It's important to consult with a veterinarian or animal behaviorist for advice on managing your cat's temperament.

When a cat hits a small bell with its paw, the kinetic energy from the cat's paw is transferred to the bell, causing it to ring. Do you need to take your cat to the vet if she is pregnant?

No.

I assume that you're worried about the risks of toxoplasmosis, which is only a risk if you're letting your cat eat raw meat and your wife handles the cat feces directly. More people in the western world get the parasite from handling/consuming uncooked meat, so you should be more concerned about letting your wife handle the steak.

There's so much fear mongering about pets and pregnancy. Your cat is a part of the family too, I hope that you seriously weren't considering "getting rid" of a family member without doing your homework first. While parasites are fun to talk about, be more concerned about proper exercise and diet.

Read more info on toxoplasmosis at the CDC.gov website.

good luck with the new little one!

Why does your cat attack her own tail?

Cats may attack their own tails due to boredom, curiosity, or frustration. It could also be a way for them to release excess energy or to satisfy their hunting instincts. If this behavior becomes excessive or leads to injuries, it's best to consult with a veterinarian or animal behaviorist.

I'm not sure where you can find that specific Whiskas advert from the early to mid-1990s online. You may have some luck searching on video sharing platforms like YouTube or contacting Whiskas directly to inquire about their historical ad archives.

Are cats considered dirty animals?

Some people don't really understand cats. They think cats are vicious and dirty but only WILD cats are. Pets are not dirty but some people don't like them in the house because they drop fur everywhere. Cats considered as pets are not mean. Unless they are stray or have been abandoned.

If a cat can't poop can you give it milk to help it poop?

That can be very, very serious. Actually, it can be deadly. One of my parents' cats has this problem constantly, and he has to take medication daily for it. For some reason, his bowels just get chronically blocked, and he can't poop. And like I said, this can be deadly.

So, you MUST take the cat to the vet. If it has been more than a few days -- like 3 days -- since the cat has pooped, then I would consider taking him to an animal emergency hospital immediately. Or at the very least, get a vet appointment within the next 24 to 48 hours. If you can't get the cat to the vet in less than 48 hours, then I would take him to a pet emergency hospital.

If you don't have a vet, or don't know of any animal emergency hospitals, then see the Related Links below.

It took 2 people 24 minutes to feed 18 cats how long at this rate would it take 3 people to feed 18 cats?

At this rate, it took 2 people 24 minutes to feed 18 cats, which means each person took 48 minutes to feed 18 cats individually. If 3 people were to feed 18 cats, it would take them 48/3 = 16 minutes to feed all the cats.

Can cats get sick from eatting flowers?

Yes it depends on the type of flower though. Flowers can be toxic to cats especially Lilies. It will take a couple days for your cat to actually get sick. (if they do get sick from eating the flower, not all cats get sick from them but most do.) If your cat is sick take him/her to the vet as soon as possible for the cat could get kidney or liver failure.
