What happens if your cat eats a rabbit?

It may be because the rabbit itself was sick or poisoned, or the cat itself had a compromised immune system which makes it more susceptible to being more vulnerable to any extra harmful bacteria in the prey.

That being said, it is very uncommon for a healthy cat to get sick from eating a rabbit, mouse, rat, bird or other animal it has caught. A cat's digestive system is well equipped for breaking down everything (meat, organ, bone) in order to extract all the nutrients it needs. Even bacteria that can be found has very little to no chance to multiply and become harmful inside the cat as a cat's system is so fast and efficient.

Why are cats always so hungry?

There are a few scenarios here:

  1. You are not actually hungry, but rather thirsty; often we confuse the two feelings. If you feel you are hungry, try drinking a glass of water and see if it subsides.
  2. You are actually bored or stressed.
  3. You have a quick metabolism, and often need to eat snacks or small meals to keep up.

Eating is a part of living; keep it nutritious and it shouldn't be an issue.

You may also just be having a growth spurt

How much water in tinned cat food?

Canned or pouched food has anywhere between 60 to 80% water, which closely mimics how much water a cat would get in the wild . In the wild, a cat's prey is around 65%-75% water, wet food provides a cat with more than enough water each day.

What do you do if your cat wont stop crying?

Firstly consider if something may be coursing the howling/crying. Consider if she is in pain, in discomfort. Is she eating probably? Sleeping probably? Cats do not have facial expressions - such adds to why cats have the reputation of being aloof and such - with the lack of facial expressions they express themselves through tail movements, purring, meowing and growling.

I have a howling cat, whenever she wants anything. She is a rescued cat and this howling tends to be her showing she wishes to go outside, where she has been most of her life. So generally I find the howling to display something. Try to figure out what it is, watch her, look at her, when does it begin? Try giving her food, comfort, a gentle stroke and if everything else fails, try taking her to your vet to have a chat because something medical could be wrong.

How do l stop my cat from scratching a wound on her face without using that cone?

You didn't mention if your cat has been to the vets yet. It's obvious there is some form of dermatitis going on or something else. If you have been to the vet then the collar must be left on to give the medication a chance to work. If you haven't been to the vet for a diagnosis on your cat please do so as soon as possible.

Why would your cat start staggering and shaking suddenly?

Like humans and most other animals, cats depend on their inner ear canals for balance. A lack of equilibrium can be caused by an ear infection. Any infection, in fact, if it is severe enough, can affect equilibrium. Additionally, a cat uses his tail as an active weight to aid his balance; a disease that affects the control of his tail, or the traumatic loss of a significant part of his tail, can hinder his balance.

Well, in order for human hair to grow you need to possess a number of biological characteristics. For example, you need to be under the age of 65 to produce good looking hair and it is a known fact that orange or (ranga) hair is not actually hair. It is unwanted cells growing out the top of your head because your body doesnt want it anymore. It is rejected because it is to strange to grow out of such places as your anus so it just grows out your head.

Why does your kitten like to bite?

The answer below is BS!!!

I am a cat expert (16 years exp.) and I will tell you Why Your Cat Lightly Bites You...

Light biting is NOT a sign of POWER! Cats like to play fight/ rough house... If there are no other cats (or dogs) in the home they will view you as their sibling... My cat.., does this even when I have over 50 toys for her to play with... I accept this nature though and rough house/ play fight back...

Your cat is only sharpening their skills... they do this through play fighting, stalking, etc... Although it is NOT recommended to accept this form of behavior... Especially with kittens... If you allow this play fighting behavior.., the cat may forget their own strength.., and hurt you...

Again.., the cat is not showing you who is boss.., unless the cat is drawing blood and lock jawing you.., remember when a cat bites it locks on hard.., they are merely play fighting... To stop this behavior.., simply bring your hand closer to your body and firmly say "NO" to your feline... Cat's understand pitches not words...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it is a sign of power. the cat is showing you who's boss. the way to get the cat to stop is to not move your hand, or whatever it bit, when it does it. when someone quickly moves their hand away it is showing the cat that they are in control. even though it may hurt, the way to teach your cat to stop is to not pull back when it does it so that it knows you are the toughest one. you could also keep a spray bottle handy and give a quick squirt every time it tries to bite.

Does male cat sex organs have a barb?

I'm fairly sure that dogs don't have barbs on their penis. This is a trait of cats...even lions have barbs so I think it the cat family including wild cats. I watched a show about dogs and cats and reproduction and they only mentioned this as a cat trait...poor cats, eh.
