hey, Ive had the same problem with my 89 vette.This is what I did.Run the car till it warms up and then cut it off.Check fuel pressure with gauge.Gauge screws in on shrader valve on fuel rail.Turn switch on but do not start.Fuel pressure should be around 41 pounds.Turn switch off.Pressure should hold for several minutes at that pressure.If it starts to drop almost immediately like mine your injectors are leaking.The 89 came with multec injectors and are not made to run with ethanol in the gas.I dont know where you live but just about every station around uses at least 10 percent ethonal. I replaced with bosch III rebuilt injectors and runs better tham it ever has.Hope this helps.Don

On an American Motors Corporation Eagle, the fuel pump is located on the left side of the engine near the bottom because it is a mechanical fuel pump. It is run off the cam. You Should be able to find it by following the line off the carb that goes over the front of the engine. IF you do not have an AMC Eagle but a vehicle that has EFI system. How do you replace the roof brake light bulb on a 1988 Corvette?
Open the hatch on your '88 corvette all the way. Underneth the roof brake light, inside the hatch there a couple of screws that need to be undone. Once you take these out, the entire compartment for the roof brake light will come away from the body/hatch. Then there are a couple of more screws at the bottom of the compartment that have to come out, by taking them out you will now gain access to the bul area. If my memory is correct, there is actually 3 or 4 small, but expensive bulbs inside there, anyone of which could be bad. I hope this helped.
