Answering your question is hard, since there are many opinions to this questions, some people think that the Mapuche are just a problem for the government because they protest to get their land back and they also fight for it against the police and agriculturist who live in what is their ancestral land.

Other people (and this is my case) think that the Mapuche are a part of Chilean culture and history so they deserve to have their lands back because they never gave their land, it was stolen.
