JOB DESIGN

Meaning:

Job Design integrates work content (tasks, functions, relationships), the rewards

(Extrinsic and intrinsic) and the qualifications required (skills, knowledge, abilities) for each job in a way that meets the needs of employees and the organizations.

It involves an interaction between what the organizations need to be done in terms of activities and what a person would do. It creates a framework of the job along with the strategy of the organization.

Job Design involves three steps:

The specification of individual tasks.

The specification of the method(s) of performing each task

The combination of tasks into specific jobs to be assigned to the individuals.

Here, steps 1 and 3 determine the job content and step 2 indicates precisely how the job shall be performed. While designing a job, requirements of the organization and individual needs of the job holder must be considered. The key to successful job design lies in balancing the requirements of the organization and the jobholder

The design of jobs has a critical impact on organizations and employee objectives. From the organisation's perspective, the way tasks and responsibilities are grouped can affect productivity and costs. Jobs that are not satisfying or are too demanding may be difficult to fill. Boring jobs may lead to a high employee turnover. For an employee, motivation and satisfaction are affected by the match between the job factors (content, qualification and rewards) and personal needs. Therefore, thoughtful design of jobs can help both the organizations and its employees achieve their objectives.

Job & Role:

Job is unstructured; it is not person specific but organization specific. It remains fixed and is not amenable to multiskilling.

Role on the other hand can be flexible. It is dependent

on the person, content, situation and circumstances. Here the purpose is based on the organizational context yet it is person specific.

If the can were just a cylinder, its dimensions would be 21/2" wide by 413/16" tall. But the can is not just a cylinder. It is tapered at the top and bottom. The top rim is only 23/32" in diameter and the bottom is even smaller at 129/32" in diameter. This is so the cans can stack, of course. The cylindrical middle is 313/16" tall. The upper cone is 11/16" tall and tapers from the middle to the top, leaving 5/16" for the lower cone tapering at the bottom. There is a spherical indent at the bottom of the can (about 3/8" at its deepest) which I did not measure and a tapered cylindrical indent in the top (about 3/16") which I also did not measure. I don't work in the industry, so those measurements may be off a little bit. I just measured a can as best I could with what I had available.

John Stith Pemberton invented Coca-Cola in 1886. The first sales of Coca-Cola were from a drugstore fountain in Atlanta, Georgia, on May 8, 1886. Pemberton, a wounded Civil War veteran, may have concocted the original formula in the process of seeking an elixir that could help him with pain and morphine addiction. He had experimented with various combinations of ingredients including alcohol, coca leaves and kola nuts, prior to settling on the formula that remains largely the same to this day.

you would have to do the math....coca cola company makes only 2 cents per can of soda and about 6 cents per 24 oz bottle and about 10 cents per two liter bottle. You might be thinking how can they be a billion dollar company if they sell so cheap...but like i said you have to do the math...coke is sold around the world at about maybe trillions at a time...so do the math and hopefully i answered the question.

A couple of years later, Jolt was introduced as a response to the wimpification of pop. promising "all of the sugar and twice the caffeine," but it tasted bad. While there is currently a Jolt cola on the market, it isn't sweetened with sugar and when I tried it, it was flat, as if the carbonation leaked out.

Around Lent, in markets with a large Jewish population, one sometimes finds Mexican Coke in small glass bottles with painted labels. It tends to be rather expensive, but it meets the requirements for "Kosher for Passover" or something like that.

In certain markets, there's also "Pepsi Throwback", which is a sugar-sweetened Pepsi apparently using a formulation from the 1950s. Distribution is spotty. I've seen 12-packs of Throwback cans in Walmart, and am told that the Speedway gas stations sell Throwback in bottles. I've never seen it available as a fountain beverage, or in 2-liter bottles. It, too, tends to be on the pricey side, though not as expensive as those tiny bottles of Mexican Coke.

Its a cheap version of Coca-cola...and taste NASTEY!

It is manufactured by Cott and does not taste nasty and is not a cheap version of Coke. It taste nothing like Coke. In fact compared to Pepsi or Coke it taste great and at half the price. Try it yourself and make up your own mind.

The only place you can't buy coca cola is Asia,and Africa.

because everyone is different you should think about the people. Do you hhave a lot of friends that dont drink a lot or do you have a lot who love soda. I recently went to a party of 12 people and 4 adults. Together we used up about 5. Go from there.

Believe it or not regular Coke is better for you. Diet Coke has no calories but they get it that way because they use a chemical called aspartame. It is a zero calorie sweetener with horrible health effects. It has been linked to cancer and other serious health problems.
