How many pieces of music did Johann Sebastian bach write?

Um...I couldn't say for sure and this discludes fugues found *within* a toccata or other piece as well as fughettas, but at least 155...I *think* about 158 but I couldn't say for certain and like I say that's omitting some which others might include, I hope you don't mind. Um, why? Because...they're awesome :D Really they're just a beautiful form of writing, one which JSB had great ability and affinity for, I mean, um, if you're good at something go for it, right?

I hope this helps and you are well,

The music of the romantic era is typically?

The Romantic Period was from 1820 to 1900. The main characteristics of Romantic music are a wide dynamic range, a high level of emotional expression, lyrical melodies, lots of rubato (freedom in the time), the introduction of free forms (such as nocturnes and fantasies) and dance forms (such as waltzes and mazurkas) which generally replaced sonata form. Pieces started to have descriptive titles and moods, (e.g. Autumn Song) which influenced the way they were interpreted by performers. Music sometimes also had sudden, dramatic contrasts and mood changes, especially in Beethoven's works (although he was on the border between Classical and Romantic).

What are the four season?

The four major seasons are Spring, Summer, Autumn (Fall), and Winter.

Each season lasts about three months. Changes in temperature and length of daylight happen during each season. The spring and fall are midway periods between the extremes of heat (summer) and cold (winter).

  1. Spring - brings the first warm days of the year after cold months. This is the season when plants are in bloom while animals mate and raise their young.
  2. Summer - the hottest time of the year. There are more hours of daytime than nighttime. Plants continue to bloom and crops in the field are ready for harvest.
  3. Autumn/Fall - the season when leaves wither and fall to the ground. The weather becomes colder. Animals start to store food. Others migrate to warmer places to escape the cold.
  4. Winter - the coldest time of the year. Hours of nighttime are longer than hours of daytime. Some animals hibernate or sleep througout the season. Some plants become dormant.

Causes of the Seasons

The cause of the seasons is the tilt of the Earth's axis of rotation (line from one pole to the other) with respect to the plane of its orbit around the Sun. During the course of the year, this changes the length of the day, and the angle of the Sun's rays, for all locations except those in the tropics near the equator.

The seasons are not experienced the same way in every location, due to winds, currents, and local weather patterns. The seasons are reversed north or south of the equator : when it is summer in the Northern Hemisphere, it is winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and vice versa.

  • Summer: the Sun's rays are more directly overhead, temperatures are warm, days are longer
  • Fall : the Sun's rays are less directly overhead, temperatures become cooler, days become shorter
  • Winter: the Sun is farthest from directly overhead, temperatures are lowest, days are shortest
  • Spring: the Sun becomes higher in the sky, temperatures become warmer, days become longer
