I'm most familiar that Fredric Chopin played the Piano.

No. He was once betrothed, but the relationship never developed further due to some meddling by the girl's mother who felt that Chopin's increasingly poor health made him 'unsuitable' for marriage to her daughter.

Chopin had a teenage infatuation with a couple of girls that he was too shy to progress and finally he had a relationship with the French Novelist Aurore Dudevant (nom-de-plume Georges Sand). This relationship had a basis of love and mutual artistic admiration and lasted for many years, but they never married.

Aurore is to be thanked for providing the peace, tranquility and means that allowed Chopin to create many of his finest masterpieces - without whose support these may never have been composed.

Sadly the relationship gradually fell apart, for complex reasons, a few years before he died. It could be said the anguish of this parting may have hastened Chopin's deteriorating health as the support and means that she had provided were no longer available to Chopin.

Richard Wagner, the renowned German composer, was primarily focused on music and opera, but he also had interests outside of composition. He enjoyed writing, engaging in philosophical discussions, and was an avid reader, often exploring literature and political theory. Additionally, Wagner had a passion for theater and stage design, which influenced his innovative approaches to opera production. His love for nature is reflected in his works, as he often sought inspiration from the landscapes around him.

No, his father was an engineer and inventor and his mother was at home. But despite this his father was very interested in music and culture and in their home his mother sang folk songs that came from her Basque heritage, and this affected Maurice deeply.

Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer who was born around 1770 in Bonn. Some of his most famous works are Fur Elise, Symphony Number 9, Moonlight Sonata, and Ode to Joy. He died on March 26, 1872 at age 56.

Johann Sebastian Bach wrote immense amounts of music, for organ, for solo clavier (a forerunner of the piano), for solo violin, solo cello, solo flute, for different ensembles of instruments, for solo voice, and for chorus with instrumental accompaniments. In short, he wrote for every instrument in existence at his time.

The well-known chamber music composer, Franz Joseph Haydn, was born on March 31, 1732. He lived for over 77 years before his death on May 31, 1809.

Gershwin was one of the first composers to successfully combine jazz music and the "Musical" format. His Porgy and Bess was is considered one of the greatest musicals of the 20th century. He also incorporated jazz of the early twentieth century into the repertoire of the symphony orchestra. Jazz was usually left to small wind combos in small club settings; but with is Rhapsody in Blue, he showed how a full symphony (including strings, and double reeds- the least jazzy of all instruments) can embrace the syncopations and highly stylized sounds of this new genre.

Mozart was born on 27 January 1756.

Haydn did not teach Beethoven how to play an instrument, but he did give Beethoven lessons in musical composition. Beethoven struggled with Haydn as a teacher, and the two did not really get along.

This is not an orthodox or liturgical Requiem, and Brahms didn't have traditional religious views; he chose his own texts, and set German texts rather than Latin ones. The piece in its final seven-movement form developed over a period of time, the fifth movement (soprano solo) being the last to be composed.

It's known as his "Choral" Symphony, because the last movement uses a choir.

Both of Johann Sebastian Bach's parent were 50 when they died. His father, Johann Ambrosius Bach, lived from 1645 to 1695, while his mother, Maria Elisabetha Lämmerhirt, lived from 1644 to 1694.
