How long does Y2K remain in your system?
Y2K is a coding glitch, not a computer virus. It stays in your system until someone corrects it. And if it's in your system in the first place, you must be using a ridiculously old computer, like one from the 1980s.

When was the automatic computer invented?
Charles Babbage invented one but never built it in the 1830s.
John Vincent Atanasoff invented one in 1936 and built it by 1942.
The modern computer was invented sometime between 1943 and 1945 on Project PX (the US Army project to build ENIAC), but nobody knows who was the inventor(s). A prototype was first built in Manchester, England in 1948.

Neuro-: Related to the nerves
-pathy: Disease Put these concepts together and this is what peripheral neuropathy means: It refers to the conditions that result when nerves that connect to the brain and spinal cord from the rest of the body are damaged or diseased.
How was computer programming invented?
Computer programming was a big thing, especially since it was needed for computers to operate.
The first "official" computer programming language was invented for the "Tabulator", a machine in 1896 which later became acquired by IBM. It's job was to read a punchcard, and depending on how it was punched, the computer would perform the indicated operations.
Jumping ahead, Fortran was invented, which was the first language to have functional implementation. Programmers were able to do direct calulations, and the compiler was invented around now, which changed the inputted text into machine code. Even then punch cards or paper tape was used to physically input the data into the computer.
Then computers began making leaps and bound in terms of processing power. Languages that would have otherwise been seen as too much overhead, were now more usable. The rest is history.
