Who invented the laptop?

Laptops were never discovered, rather they were invented and developed. The pioneer of modern laptop is Toshiba Corporation, way back in 1981.

Why was y2k a major problem?

It might have been. Y2K Stands for year two thousand. The old computers went from 1997 to 98 to 99, and 00 is an invalid date. Basically all the computers in the world would have shut down, and yes, that includes the bank computers. It would have been a major problem because basically everyone would be bankrupt at the stroke of midnight on January 1st 2000. Scary, no?

Define heat of work and how it is computed?

Define Heat of Work and Explain how it is computed.

Heat of Work (HOW) is the the amount of heat added to refrigerant during the compression process. The heat content of the refrigerant at the outlet of the compressor (high-side) is subtracted from the heat content at the inlet of the compressor (low-side). The unit of measurement is in Btu/lb

Answer

There is no such thing as 'heat of work'. Heat and work are two different, but related, things. 'Heat' describes energy in transit from a higher temperature to a lower temperature, whereas 'work' describes energy in transit when one form of energy is converted into another form. The difference between work and heat is a measure of the rise in the internal energy of an object.

The importance of the computer?

Computer training takes a computer from a common household item to a powerful tool for work, school, and personal tasks. Enrolling in a computer training program can teach you how to use common software programs and also maintain your computer's hardware. Specialized training for computers is also available to focus on a specific type of program, such as word processing, or a specific type of task, such as managing finances.

List computer languages that support computer graphics?

Probably all general purpose computer programming languages support computer graphics, in the sense of providing access to graphics toolkits. Some languages have built-in commands for graphics primitives (dot, line, circle), but very few languages provide directly built-in support for higher level graphics functions as part of the language. Most simply grant access to computer graphics packages (e.g. OpenGL) in the same way as they'd grant access to a package for advanced mathematics or some other toolkit.

Examples of languages with more than average support for computer graphics include Logo, Processing and Mathematica.

On the other hand, very powerful graphics packages, such as 3-D rendering and game development software packages (e. g. Blender, Unity, Maya) typically include with a programming interface which typically uses a standard programming language (e.g. Python) with special integration into the graphics tool.

WHO INVENTED HP COMPUTER?

HP was founded in the 1930s by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. It is considered to be the top computer company in the United States.

When was the first modern computer build?

1948, the Manchester Baby.

Yes it was only a proof of concept prototype computer with only 32 words of 32 bit CRT DRAM, but it worked and proved the basic concepts used in all modern computers. Everything since have only been refinements.

What was the first simulation program?

It is uncertain. The Manhattan project during WW2 ran simulations of various portions of the atomic bomb on: the Harvard Mark I and an improvised system of many dozens of IBM punchcard unit record machines, but although these were programmable digital computers they were not electronic computers. In December 1945 through January 1946 a full simulation of Edward Teller's Classical Super hydrogen bomb design was run on ENIAC showing it to be unworkable (this was likely the first simulation run on a programmable electronic digital computer). The purpose of ENIAC was specifically to simulate the firing of newly designed US Army artillery pieces to prepare Firing Tables to be used by soldiers on the battlefield, but it was not used for this purpose until later in 1946.
Long before digital computers existed analog computers were used to run simulations. One of these analog computers was the MIT Differential Analyzer built in 1929, it was fully programmable and could handle a wide variety of problems that could be solved using differential equations. Much of the design of ENIAC including its method of programming was copied from the Differential Analyzer but reimplemented digitally.

How did Man get the term computer?

So man explored with the idea to develop a machine which can perform this type of arithmetic calculation faster and with full accuracy. This gave birth to a device or machine called 'computer'.

How much did the altair 8800 cost?

When the Altair 8800 came out in January 1975, users could purchase a DIY kit for $397, which consisted of some parts and circuit boards. Users could also purchase assembled Altairs for $498.

Additional parts (such as memory boards) were typically purchased as upgrades in order to make the computer more usable. These upgrades could make the final cost of the computer upwards of $4000.
