This contrast 100 message is not a virus. It's the result of the cheap plastic switch/contact inside your monitor behind the buttons. I fixed my problem by opening up the monitor, 5 screws, (power off, unplugged!) and breaking w/a screwdriver the little plastic rivets on the bar behind the buttons on the grey plastic bar and then altering the plastic bar to make it closer ON THE ONE SIDE to the exit button only. It minimizes the 'contrast 100 popup' and if the foul message appears you click the exit button on the monitor (which now ought to work after it's put back together) and the contrast 100 message goes away. It took me several tries, alot of trial and error but for you w/my specific instructions it should work first try I think. 20 minutes work cheaper than replacing an otherwise perfectly good monitor. (Unless your monitor is old and you want a new better one anyway). ps. Dont try talking to the manufacturer, they wont tell you. I suspect they know of this design flaw but well... enough said.

Go to Options -> Options (looks wierd, but just go with it.)
On General Tab, clik manage add-ons

Select Manage search engines
Click mail.ru and click remove.

Be very careful from here forward - You can make your computer un-usable if you don't follow instructions.
Press and hold Control, then F, then release them both.

Delete the entry called Mail.ru
You will have to repeat this find about 20 times until you kill all vestages of the program. Continue to do Ctl-F and find next while deleting whatever is found, until the search returns "unable to find" or similar message.
