Well, no unless it's a very huge one that's rabid. Coyotes aren't as dangerous as most people say they are, most fatal attacks are on children. If one comes towards you, unless you're just standing there and let it attack you, you probably won't die. Now wolves, those are a whole different story. Also, there is power in numbers, more than 1 coyote can be fatal because like most canines, coyotes work as a team to take down prey.

There are always fewer predators than prey. It takes a lot of mice to feed a coyote. The mice feed on nutrient-rich seeds and insects, but some of that nutrition is lost in the urine and feces. Much of the energy is used in keeping the mouse alive and functioning, and quite a bit is lost to the environment as heat given off. Only about 10% of the amount of the nutrition and energy consumed by the mouse can be passed along to the coyote, and there more of it is lost. The same is true in any predator-prey relationship.

well first you want to cut a circle around the base of the tail. then you want to cut where you can get a grip on the base of the tail by doing that cut bak on the tail. After that you pull the tail leaving the flesh behind.

After you get that turn the tail as the way you would see as it is on the coyote then fill up with salt and leave to dry.

Yes, coyotes and grey wolves are both canines and are very closely related to each other. Both species share a common ancestor, being the Canis lepophagus, and are still genetically close enough to hybridize and produce fertile offsprings called "coywolves". In fact, the two have hybridized in the wild for hundreds of years in certain regions of North America. The wolves living in the eastern and Atlantic regions of Canada and the north eastern parts of the US are actually hybrids between grey wolves and coyotes. The red wolves, previously listed as a species distinct from the grey wolf, are also canid hybrids descended from grey wolves and coyotes that interbred during the early days when much of the southern US was being converted into agricultural land and the fact that the wolves were among the carnivores being targeted at the time. Coyotes who survived better eventually interbred with the remnant grey wolf populations thus giving rise to these populations of coywolves.

hunting seasons for coyote differ pending on witch state you live in. if you want to know, check out your local DNR website. the season is for sure not the beginning of the year because that is their mating season.
