What are the names of Cyprus airports?

The main airport in the Southern half of the island is at Larnaca, on the South coast. The main one in the Turkish-controlled North is at Ergan, in the North East- however, flights from here are to and from Turkey only, because no nation other than Turkey itself recognises the North as a legitimate state.

Cyprus's main airport USED to be in Nicosia, up until the Turkish Invasion of 1974- it was the scene of some fierce fighting during the war and is now disused, being cordoned off within the UN buffer zone. However, the old airport grounds have since been turned into a golf club, so club members are able to stroll around the site, walking on the runway and looking at the old airport buildings. However, entry to the old airport terminal itself is forbidden- the buildings all still stand, but can only be entered by UN personnel and the occasional journalist under escort. They remain much as they were when the airport was closed in the August of '74, the departure lounge even has old airline tickets still scattered on the floor from when travellers fled in panic during the conflict! There is also a cargo warehouse full of a consignment of by now very mouldy tobacco, a derelict Cyprus Airways Boeing 727 airliner parked nearby, and the shell of the old control tower.

It is unlikely that this airport will ever open again as a commercial airline terminal, because new housing development has sprung up since the invasion that is too close to the airport grounds to make it safe for airliners to take off and land. However, in the event of a settlement to the partition at some time in the future, it could still function as a flying club for light aircraft.

What Cypriot city is divided into Greek and Turkish areas?

The answer you are looking for is NICOSIA, but the phrasing is awkward.

Nicosia is a Cypriot city that is partially occupied by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), a country that is seen by most countries and analysts to be a territorial extension of the Republic of Turkey. The southern part of the city, which is still part of the Republic of Cyprus is not a "Greek" area anymore than the rest of Cyprus is a "Greek" area. While the majority of Cypriot citizens are Greek Cypriots, there are Turkish Cypriots that live throughout the Republic of Cyprus. Conversely, because of the Turkish Invasion in 1974 that set up the TRNC there are practically no Greek Cypriots in the TRNC and a very high number of Turkish citizens (who have no Cypriot ancestry) along with Turkish Cypriots.

As the city is controlled by the TRNC and the Republic of Cyprus, neither part is directly controlled by Turkey or Greece.

Are eu citizens able to travel freely in Cyprus if they have arrived on the island via ercan airport?

Yes they can. The British High Commission in Cyprus gives the following information:

"British and other foreign nationals who have entered Cyprus through the north (e.g. Ercan airport) are considered by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus to have entered Cyprus through an illegal port of entry. The Government of the Republic of Cyprus reserves the right to fine EU (including British) citizens for illegal entry if they cross into the south. In practice, their current policy is not to do so."

This is correct.
