You will find thermostat at the back side of the timing belt rear cover. It should be in a housing which is connected to the radiator 'S' Bend. Hope you may find it out.

Daewoo makes their own cars. It is an auto manufacturer in Korea that had been making cars for major companies for years, such as the 1994 Chevy Lamons. They decided to make cars under their own name. In 2000, while in bankruptcy, GM bought them. They a now a division of GM. They still produce Daewoo cars, but they are not sent to the USA.

8 valve engine is freewheeling. very little chance of engine damage. 16 valve is an interference engine. Most likely damage will have occured.

The DH 40 magazine does not interchange with any other magazine, Smith and Wesson, or otherwise. There are two timing marks;

* On the bottom crankshaft pulley (alternator belt attached) * On the timing belt pulley (you will need to take off the plastic cover) The timing in a Daewoo is set by the timing belt. If you are replacing the timing belt (if it has broken), you need to

# Check that cylinder one is at the top of it's upward stroke, the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley should be at top dead centre # Remove the valve cover and check that both the inlet and exhaust valve on cylinder one are closed. You should see the cam lobes both pointing up. Looking at a clock, they would be positioned at the 10 and 2 positions. I have found his car to be very frustrating to set the timing when replacing a broken timing belt. No obvious settings, almost need to pull the engine apart and go back to basics to get the timing right.

Intermittent starting problems in a Daewoo vehicle might be caused by a number of things. The ignition module is a good place to start. Check for broken or loose wires. Also check the spark plug sensors, the battery, the MAP sensor and the EGR valve.

You have to remove the lower hose from radiator. It is not low enaugh so you'll be able to drain no more then half of the coolent fluid. If you want to remove all of it, the only way is by removing the coolent pump, but it is not adviseble, because it is driven by the timing belt.

Very few of the K1A1 rifles were imported before being banned. Because of the low numbers available and the unusual design, these rifles will only appreciate. The reliability of the rifles is very good with many design similarities to the M16/AR15.

Hello! I am South Korean, from the country of origin for this rifle! it is actually called DaeWoo K2, but foreigners tend to call it K1A1 rifle. K1A1 is a tank, so please don't confuse with DaeWoo K2. K2 uses the standard US military rifle rounds, but uses the AK-47 gas chamber blow-back system, while having M16-like weapon reloading system, with an accuracy of M21. you can say AK-47+M4A1+M21=K2.

Hi, I'm an Gun collector who owns a K1A1, exported as DR100.

Actually the DaeWoo K2 wasn't developed for the South Korean Army until 1987. And was a replacement for the K1A1. The DaeWoo K1A1 Assault rifle was developed circa 1983 as a replacement for the South Korea license built M-16. Both the K1 and K2 were chambered for the 5.56x45mm NATO round until the mid 1990's when the K2 was re-chambered for the Russian 7.62x39 cartridge. The early K1's were exported as a semiautomatic called the DR-100, the K2 was exported as the DR200 chambered for the 5.56x45 NATO cartridge, and as the DR300 chambered for the 7.62x39 Russian cartridge. So while there is a main battle tank called the K1A1, it was also once the designation for a rifle.

So when looking for a K1A1 rifle, you might try looking under it's exported name DaeWoo DR100. Hope this information helps people find the rifles as they are a fun alternative to the AR-15. The only thing I didn't like about my K1A1 was the nasty habit it had of every clip or 2 it would fire a 3 round burst, which more than once wound my up in hot water with the police who, thinking the rifle was modified to fire full auto, would confiscate the weapon and take my down the station. I had my rifle confiscated more than half a dozen times for that reason, but it was always returned cleaned and oiled with the apologies of the Police Department.

My wife is military now so I no longer keep my rifle at home, it's now with my parents after it fired a 3 round burst at the base target range. It was confiscated, tested, returned with the understanding that it would no longer be allowed on base. :(

So I haven't seen my K1A1 for more than 3 months now and I miss it.

Which model and engine ? I can tell you about 1.5 16V

The fuel pump is located under the rear seat on the right side. When you bend the sead, you will see a black plastic cover, under wich is the pump. Unplug elektric cables and fuel hose, then loose the bolts. Pull the pump up. It is fuel level indicator and pump assembly. You can remove the pump and replace it itself.

there is a pin in the backside of the lock cylinder push it in and pry slightly on the bottom of the cylinder and pull it out , it will come out a little stiff because there is a piece of rubber on the side.
