Do women? With some people they act coy and love to appear complex. I really like people that are direct and say what is on their mind, but certainly don't mind a joke played on me or a quip from someone (called teasing.) Usually that questions means one of 2 things: #1 if you are dating off and on then do you see you and him going out on a steady basis. #2 If you are going out on a steady basis then what are your future plans? You could really love him and want to get married in the future and have children, or you may be the type that doesn't want to settle down for quite sometime and either go for a good career or travel the world or go to college. Just because a girl is pretty doesn't mean she's heartless. Like any group, the beautiful people can either be vain to running a fine line of being pure obnoxious, but the up side is, there are some pretty girls out there with a good brain and heart. Put into context: What if you married someone that had no disabilities, but they were unfortunate enough (like the war years that are still going on to this day) and they came back with a disability. Would a good-hearted woman that really loves her man turn her back on him? NO!!!!!!! I married my husband for "better or worse" and we are in our early 60s. We know our health could fade at anytime, and not once in our 33 years of marriage did I ever entertain the thought of every being away from my husband on a permanent basis. We have seen each other through illness' and I am sure there is much more we will be going through. That's what makes a relationship strong. NEVER be afraid to ask anyone out and if you get a "no" don't take it personally, because even guys (or gals) without disabilities can get the almighty "no." Please remember "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I have friends with plain looking husbands or wives and they are terrific. I have friends with good looking partners and most are great people, others are split up because of their sheer vanity. Hey, this is my first time saying anything on here, but your question peaked my interest. My husband is 31 and I am 20. We got married when I was 18. I know pretty crazy... but it was the best thing either one of us did. I have connected with him more than anyone, and he feels the same about me. He was married once before and it didn't work out, they did not have children. So my husband is ready for a family and I am going to make him wait one more year. I finished college early and am now working in accounting. We bought a house and are a very happy and successful couple. I could not imagine my life without him. I don't believe in soul mates... but if I did, he would be it.
Don't let age scare you. If it doesn't work out for some other reason, then so be it. But in my personal experiences, age doesn't matter. I don't even think about it anymore, in fact when I do tell people I am proud to say it. To say, "ya 11 years, and more compatible than any married couple I have met!"
Oh... FYI we have been married for 2.5 years and love each other as much as when we started dating.

I'm so happy to read these other posts! I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 31. We met each other while I was working for him. It was so hard to tell my parents, but we knew it was the right thing to do. He had been in many relationships before, but none with a girl my age. I had been in an emotionally abusive relationship before him, and he had faced a similar predicament with his second wife. I've had people say we are disgusting and we've even had people glare at us in the mall because I do look younger than 19. I don't want people to think we're promoting age gap dating at all. There are some exceptions to the general rule that you date your own age. We are so happy we found each other and there are times where we do realize it would be easier for other people to accept us if we were the same age. We have no problems otherwise, it's just outside influence.
If you love and trust this person, just go for it! There's no reason why you can't just try it out. I learned from being in an abusive relationship before that I have to be happy for MYSELF and no one else. If you feel like the relationship's not right, you can't change it! Move on!
Also be aware that both of your families will have a HUGE role in your relationship. We've had people say they're so happy for us and we've had people say they don't understand it and it makes them uncomfortable. When it feels right, let everyone know in the way you feel is the best.
