The third Starfire appeared first in 1980 in DC Comics Presents. As Princess Koriand'r, she was experimented on by the Psions and developed the ability to fire bolts of energy. She also had the ability to fly. She escaped to Earth and joined the Teen Titans.

As Batman makes his meager escape, he is shot, quite graphically in the head by the most infamous of all of his enemies. It is an ending that will surely make all Batman fans weep. Its the end of an era.
