Why do some people never lose their baby teeth?

Because the tooth nerve is made up of three major parts that cause the baby tooth to be pushed out and a new one to come in. sometimes not all of the teeth get reached therefore the person with this problem probably will never even get wisdom teeth. it is rare yet it happens.

The same thing happens with hair in some people. it grows only to a certain length and may break off at any given point and will not ever grow any longer than it's greatest length. that's because the hair goes through the growing phase, the resting phase, the done growing stage.

on one person the fullgrown hair is 9 feet 7 inches, on another person, may it only be 8 inches total.

everyone is different therefore it makes sense.

What can you eat when your wisdom teeth are growing in?

Mashed potatoes are your best friend! Instant mashed potatoes are quick, easy, cheap, and come in many different flavors. The best part is that there is no chewing required! And they're filling. I just put some on my tongue and use it to work the potatoes back so I don't have to suck either.

Can your dentist withhold your permanent crown due to nonpayment?

No, they cannot withhold your crown if they have already prepared the tooth. They are obligated to see the procedure through to completion once it has been started, regardless of payment status. However, this does not mean you do not have to pay or can get away without paying. If you do not pay, they will go through a collections process, or possibly even sue you for non-payment of services rendered. It is generally easier just to arrange payment terms than to deal with collections, legal concerns, credit concerns, and possibly wrecking whatever relationship you have with your dentist.

What should you do after having a molar pulled?

I used sea salt soaks on my pulled tooth with great results. You want to get the non iodine sea salt. Mix it in some warm water till it tastes like tears. (pretty weak) Then use it to gently swish around the hole. You can also hold it on the hole. Do not swollow. You can also rinse with some water after if you like. Be sure that you don't use a straw to drink with for a few days. This is what caused mine to start to get infected, but the sea salt cleared it right up.

Is it possible to have no wisdom teeth pulled out?

It is possible for your wisdom teeth never to erupt. They probably are there, but they're buried under your gums. The word, "impacted" is used to describe a tooth that develops lying on its side or in some other strange position.

Why is it important to visit the dentist regularly?

Because if you don't, your teeth will be come bad and hard to deal with afterwards.

It's important to brush because stuff will start collecting on your teeth and weaken them, and it's hard to fix them later. It's important to floss because stuff collects in between your teeth, and can create large spaces in between your teeth which also are hard to fix.

Because if you don't then your breath will stink and you will later lose all your teeth and you'll have to use dentures.

How much does a shot at the dentist hurt?

Apparently getting needles at the dentist really doesnt hurt at all! If your getting teeth pulled they will most likely give you an injection in your gum. Yes, it looks like you would be in alot of pain or its sounds like you would be in lots pain but no that much! On a scale from 1 to ten it would most likely occur as 7. Seven is not that bad. When you get the needles STAY CALM!!Trust me! It will feel like a pinch. The pinch pain lasts five seconds. If you don't get the numbing gel on your gum where the needle will be placed, it will hurt and the scale would be 2 from 1 to 10. So if you're not sure of getting that gel just ask your dentist. And the pain only feels like a long nail(finger nail) that's a bit sharp touching and digging into your gum for 1 second. I've been through it so I know! BUT STAY CALM! OKAY!? That's more important. Oh and ask for the happy gas! It so helps more too! For that scale it would turn out as 5. So stay calm.!

P.S. The numbing gell will leave a nasty taste in your mouth for a while. It should be near gone by the end of the day (You'll taste it sometimes if you burp.) I would know, I just got it done.

Is it ok to smoke a cigarette after getting wisdom teeth pulled with gauze over the sockets?

Only if you want to take the risk and pain of dry sockets. Even if you have gauze over the open sockets you are still sucking in air and drawing that smoke and air into the sockets. Think about it. Gauze is not a solid bandage. It is absorbent to prevent bleeding but still allow a minimum amount of air to promote healing. When you are dragging on a cigarette you are increasing the volume of air to the at risk area drying up what the gauze is trying to keep moist for the purpose of healing. I would recommend strongly against it.

Wisdom teeth hurt years after they came in?

One of the main reasons Dentists pull wisdom teeth is due to the difficulty in reaching them while brushing. Most people can not reach them to properly clean them. If you are experiencing pain I would suggest seeing your dentist. It is probably either due to tooth decay in the area most difficult to access with a toothbrush or inflammation of the gum tissue behind the teeth themselves.

1) A.D.A system (The American Dental Association) , the teeth are designated by the alphabets, A through T ,starting at the maxillary right second deciduous molar. 2) PALMER system, makes use of a grid that has four quarters.each quarters represents one quadrent of the mouth.teeth are numbered from the midline posteriorly in each quadrant of the arch.the teeth are numbered 1 through 8 from the central incisor to the third permanent molar.in this case of deciduous dentition the designation used is A through E from the deciduous central incisor to the deciduous second molar and identifying a tooth in this system involves drawing of the specific grid and writing specific tooth alphabet (number for permanent dentition).
