Why is it important to visit the dentist regularly?
Because if you don't, your teeth will be come bad and hard to deal with afterwards.
It's important to brush because stuff will start collecting on your teeth and weaken them, and it's hard to fix them later. It's important to floss because stuff collects in between your teeth, and can create large spaces in between your teeth which also are hard to fix.
Because if you don't then your breath will stink and you will later lose all your teeth and you'll have to use dentures.

How much does a shot at the dentist hurt?
Apparently getting needles at the dentist really doesnt hurt at all! If your getting teeth pulled they will most likely give you an injection in your gum. Yes, it looks like you would be in alot of pain or its sounds like you would be in lots pain but no that much! On a scale from 1 to ten it would most likely occur as 7. Seven is not that bad. When you get the needles STAY CALM!!Trust me! It will feel like a pinch. The pinch pain lasts five seconds. If you don't get the numbing gel on your gum where the needle will be placed, it will hurt and the scale would be 2 from 1 to 10. So if you're not sure of getting that gel just ask your dentist. And the pain only feels like a long nail(finger nail) that's a bit sharp touching and digging into your gum for 1 second. I've been through it so I know! BUT STAY CALM! OKAY!? That's more important. Oh and ask for the happy gas! It so helps more too! For that scale it would turn out as 5. So stay calm.!
P.S. The numbing gell will leave a nasty taste in your mouth for a while. It should be near gone by the end of the day (You'll taste it sometimes if you burp.) I would know, I just got it done.

Is it ok to smoke a cigarette after getting wisdom teeth pulled with gauze over the sockets?
Only if you want to take the risk and pain of dry sockets. Even if you have gauze over the open sockets you are still sucking in air and drawing that smoke and air into the sockets. Think about it. Gauze is not a solid bandage. It is absorbent to prevent bleeding but still allow a minimum amount of air to promote healing. When you are dragging on a cigarette you are increasing the volume of air to the at risk area drying up what the gauze is trying to keep moist for the purpose of healing. I would recommend strongly against it.

Wisdom teeth hurt years after they came in?
One of the main reasons Dentists pull wisdom teeth is due to the difficulty in reaching them while brushing. Most people can not reach them to properly clean them. If you are experiencing pain I would suggest seeing your dentist. It is probably either due to tooth decay in the area most difficult to access with a toothbrush or inflammation of the gum tissue behind the teeth themselves.

1) A.D.A system (The American Dental Association) , the teeth are designated by the alphabets, A through T ,starting at the maxillary right second deciduous molar. 2) PALMER system, makes use of a grid that has four quarters.each quarters represents one quadrent of the mouth.teeth are numbered from the midline posteriorly in each quadrant of the arch.the teeth are numbered 1 through 8 from the central incisor to the third permanent molar.in this case of deciduous dentition the designation used is A through E from the deciduous central incisor to the deciduous second molar and identifying a tooth in this system involves drawing of the specific grid and writing specific tooth alphabet (number for permanent dentition). I couldn't use the lines for draw the grid... maxillary patient right E D C B A A B C D E patient left E D C B A A B C D E mandibular 3) In F.D.I system, each tooth is given two digits. The first digit indicates the quadrant while the second digit the specific tooth in a quadrant.the quadrants are designted 1 through 4 for the permanent dentition and 5 through 8 for the primary dentition in a clockwise sequence starting at the patient's maxillary right quadrant.the deciduous teeth within the quadrant are numbered 1 to 5 starting at the central incisor….. It should be remembered that the two digits should be pronounced separately! good luck

What type of dentist does crowns and root canals?
A crown is referred to as a "top" in layman's terms. A crown is a prosthetic repair for a tooth that has been fractured or badly decayed. After the dental practitioner has prepared the tooth, it is cemented onto it. Healthy teeth can be made to resemble heads. Facade tops are also known as "caps" since they cover the entire tooth. Dental crowns and caps are provided by Positive Dental in Hyderabad.
Dental Crowns Strategy
In order to prepare a tooth for a dental crown, at least two dentist appointments are usually required.
The purpose of the initial dental appointment is to examine and prepare the tooth that will be delegated, as well as to take an impression of the tooth so that the crown can be created.
Placing a crown on a tooth is a simple procedure.
The impression is evacuated from your lips once the substance has set, which usually takes one to two minutes. The short crown is designed to fit your tooth and eliminate any unsightly edges. An impermanent bond is used to fix the brief crown onto your prepared tooth after it has been prepared.

Removal time for wisdom teeth?
It depends on how many wisdom teeth are being extracted and how difficult the particular surgery is.
A single extraction of a fully erupted maxillary third molar can take a minute or less, and fully impacted mandibular extractions can take an hour or more.
Time is not the important factor. The most important factor is the skill of the surgeon. He/she should take enough time to safely remove the tooth and minimize any potential complications.

Can smoking after wisdom teeth pulled effect healing process?
Smoking is always horrible for your health. If in fact your wisdom teeth have been extracted, they may finally be distanced from the smoke and will not become any yellower, or stained. Do your body a favor, stop smoking as soon as you can. There are excellent drugs to help with your cravings, and your addiction. About 4000 people a year die in America from heroin overdoses, but nearly 400,000 die from smoking related deaths. Many of them die from lung cancer, which I have recently seen take one of my closest friends. You don't want that, trust me.

What happen if you get your wisdom teeth taking out while pregnant?
I had one wisdom tooth pulled while I was 5 months pregnant and it hurt really bad! First of all i had to have an X-ray so they put 4 of those vests on me and then since they couldn't give me novacaine they gave me lidocaine which is like nothing! I felt my tooth crack!! It hurt so bad. Then because I was pregnant, I wasn't allowed to take anything but tylenol. I might as well been popping tic tacs because the pain was excrutiating for days! If I were you I'd do my best to wait. Unless the pain is that unbearable. Sorry Im just being honest.
