How do you afford dentist with no insuance?
You should check out this website, It is not insurance but a medical/dental discount plan. It allows you to get discounts for dental, vision, chiropractic, prescription and physician visits. The plans start at $14.95/month for individuals or $19.95/month for an entire household up to 20 people related or not. The dental discounts are up to 80% depending on your treatment and you get the vision, chiropractic AND pharmacy discount plans with the dental for the same monthly price. If you have any other questions about the plan you can email me. If you would like me to, I could check the participating dentists in that area, but I would need a zip code or address. They also have medical plans for as little as 29.95 /month. Let me know! Good Luck..

A gap between the teeth is quite common and normal in children, in fact it is desirable as it will give the adult teeth more room. A child with a gap in adult front teeth is also normal and usually closes by mid teens. Therefore, it is not necessary to worry about gaps until adulthood.

Dentists remove tooth decay by simply drilling the part of the tooth that has decayed and filling the hole with a "cement", followed by a sealant to prevent bacteria from getting in and causing more decay.
If you have a cavity that if farther below the surface of the tooth, they will begin by adding local numbing gel and an anesthetic injection.
Surface cavities usually do not require anesthetics and will take about 20-30 minutes to complete the procedure.
If bacteria has rotted most of the tooth, it will require removal or a root canal.

Do your other teeth hurt when you get wisdom teeth?
Wisdom teeth can definitely crowd your mouth and push on your other teeth, which may cause discomfort or even pain inside your mouth A few years ago I was told by a dentist that my wisdom teeth were not a problem and would not need to be pulled, but then a couple months ago I got a terrible toothache and thought it was a cavity. But my new dentist told me that it was just my wisdom teeth crowding my mouth and causing me pain. The pain in my mouth became increasingly worse by the week until I could get into my oral surgeon this past week to get my teeth out. If you're experiencing pain and your dentist recommends you get your wisdom teeth pulled, do it as soon as possible!!
First off I would look at typical teenage life. I would look at family income, friends, enemys, criminal records, school, dress, and stereo type. Then i would lok at cities in the us with high and low suicide rates. I would compare and contrast the cities. I would then look at family history of a few hundred family historys from the cities.
This would be a continuous study.

Can the bad taste after getting wisdom teeth pulled be from stitches?
I am a surgical dental assistant who has been in the field for 6 years. Part of my job is giving post op instructions and taking calls from post op patients. The bad taste you are experiencing is normal. When wisdom teeth are extracted the surgeon does not sew up the entire extraction site. There are many reasons for this, each Dr. has their own. You may not be brushing as well as you usually would which is understandable. Your mouth hurts! I know it is difficult to open as wide to get the back teeth, but you need, I mean NEED to keep the mouth clean. You may have food stuck in the socket, here is what you do. Use a salt water rinse, no mouth wash. It will burn and slow the healing. Rinse after every meal. Do you have dissolvable stitches? Sometimes they can take up to 2 weeks to dissolve. Do not try to take them out. If they are bothersome and pinching, contact your dentist and schedule a post op appointment.
I need dental surgery but have no dental coverage what do I do?
You can purchase a dental discount plan for about $10.00 per month and get discounts of up to 60% off. After you purchase a plan you just find a dentist in the provider list and submit your card at your appointment. It is not insurance, but you get discounts like when you have insurance. Cosmetic and braces discounts are offered on some plans.

In addition to considering the cost of such a procedure, you need to think about the considerable hygiene issue you're suggesting. How do you plan on eating food with such hardware present? How do you plan on effectively cleaning such hardware? From Muse314159 - Chicagoborn, this is an oral surgery procedure. It is not a cosmetic or body jewelry question. The canines might be impacted, and there is a procedure to cut (expose) the cuspids, attach a gold button to each tooth, and a small chain that is then connected to the rest of the stuff. A small elastic thread is fixed through a loop on the chain, and as the cuspid is pulled into position, the thread is moved up to the next link and the dangling link cut off. Once the tooth is in position, it can be aligned for the rest of the orthodontic treatment. I've heard everything from $1500 per tooth on up to expose and ligate (add the bracket and chain).
