I've read elsewhere that Logitech Harmony universal remotes will work using RCA codes, they suggested L32HD31 as your TV to get it to control the TCL tv and comcast. I have used 10047 and 11781 as the remote code for a TCL LCD TV on my Comcast digital adapter remote. They are each RCACodes, that work perfectly on TCL , as RCA is owned by TCL.

Coaxial cable, RG6u or RG 59u. The RG6u has less loss for longer cable runs.

Go to the EZ-Setup section of the main Setup Menu and select Parental Control or Reset from Ch Setup. Use the Ch Up and Vol Up buttons on the keyboard for the TV until the code displays on the screen, and choose the new secret number to use.

According to their Tech Support who I called yesterday regarding remote codes, Akai made the TV's until about 2 years ago. Now they say that Viore manufactures much of the TV with some of the major components manufactured by Samsung.

codes for awa tv 0026,0027,0033,0159,0160,0189,0220,0275,0277,0278,0280,0283,0299,0334,0340 first hold set button then hold tv1 ,hold both down for 3 seconds then press set again , light should be flashing input codes till you find the right one , power on and off , if working ok press tv1 again ,thats how i do it , you can do automatic searching , turn on tv press tv1 light will flash once then hold set then hold power ,hold both for 5 seconds light should be on ,let both go the light should start flashing ,let it find your tv ,it should turn off when it does and your done

Sounds like a digital TV. Try unplugging it for awhile and then plugging it back in. That forces a `hard reset' of the microprocessor and should free the screen. If not, you've got some other type of issue either with the TV itself or with the source.

Four digit remote codes; 1758, 0178,1756, 0128, 0117, 1017, 1078, 0030, 0056, 0205 or 1292. Five digit remote codes; 10178, 10117, 11756, 11758, 01377, 10885, 10864 or 10120.

You need to be more specific about the criteria to be used in the comparison, but energy wise the lcd uses less power than a crt and that is good for the planet. LCD televisions also take up less space.

Although an LCD costs less energy to run, their production processes use more energy than the production of CRT televisions, which may make an LCD more costly in energy, depending on the life of the TV. LCD televisions are starting to incorporate LED backlights, with have the advantage of allowing individual areas to be switched on and off. This enhances contrast (including deep blacks) and picture quality. Picture motion 'smoothness' remains a key advantage of CRT, as the images can "scan" across the screen rather than being limited to jumping between pixels. For optimum picture quality, a HD CRT TV with HDMI input (not upscaling) is better if you can live with the bigger size and higher running cost.

A CRT produces a better picture then a LCD. Color standards were set for film and television years ago. As of 05-25-2009 LCD's still can not meet or surpass this standard. 'Deep black' a standard set years ago for film and television is the ability of film and television 'CRT' to show shades of color and gray all the way to complete deep black. An LCD can not meet or surpass this standard. An Lcd can show colors in a Bright kind of way , I call this LCD 'Eye Candy' , it is not true colors and deep black. All this is researchable on the net. And No a plasma screen can not meet or surpass the standard of film and television CRT.

TV's have a built-in power supply (Switched Mode Power Supply - SMTP) to convert 110V AC to the required DC voltages plus the Extra High Voltage (EHT) for the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT). If the fuse is OK and both sound and video are not present, then the fault is almost 100% with the power supply. Some older TV's have a fusible resistor in the SMTP that "opens" whenever there is over current - check a thick resistor (usually a wirewound resistor)in the SMTP to see if it is open, Other faults that I haev discovered are the power transistors in the SMTP (usually there are 2/3 MOSFETS) - check id these are shorted or open using a multi-meter. If you are not hands-on, don't waste time trying to get it repaired through a repair shop - you will spend as much on the repair as you would on a brand new TV. And LCD TV's are falling in price - you can even buy a 20" LCD display for $170+ and an external tuner for $50 - or a fullfledged LCD TV for $300 .... Good luck
