Yes, the dishwasher can clean plates etc without having to rinse it beforehand. Plus a dishwasher already uses more water than washing by hand, therefore rinsing before dishwashing wastes even more water.

To hook a drain line, not a water line, from the dishwasher to the garbage disposer is as follows:

there is a connection on the garbage disposer for a dishwasher (on the side) There is a plastic fitting that came with the disposer(if all parts were saved) The fitting is going to look like it has barbed ridges(fortubing toslide over)on one end and a flange and seal at the other end.

1) make sure the plastic is knocked out of the disposer where the fitting connects to.

2) Connect fitting to disposer using 2 screws

3) Connect drain hose from dishwasher to disposer by sliding rubber gromet over plastic barbed fitting.

Make sure you cut the rubber gromet to the right size of the fitting

4) Use hose clamp over rubber gromet.

5) Use zip ties to hang drain tubing as high as you can so water wont drain back into dishwasher. (new dishwashers ususally have p-trap built into the drain line already.)

How often one should clean dishwasher racks depends on how often the dishwasher is run. If it is run daily or every other day, the racks should be cleaned monthly with white vinegar. If it is run weekly, then it should be cleaned every 2-3 months. White vinegar is the best cleaner for dishwasher racks.

You first feed in the water supply line from the valve which should be in the kitchen sink compartment. I would highly recommend buying a SS braided hose instead of copper or plastic line. These cost about $10 in Home Depot. Connect this line onto the inlet valve, usually under front left corner as you face it (opposite side to electric box) Next, you move the machine close to the space and thread the drain pipe into the sink compartment, being sure not to kink it. -Now as someone pushes the D/W into place, someone else pulls the drain line through enough to hook onto the drain stub on the sink drain. If there isn't one , you will have to buy an ABS fitting with this and fit it into the drain system. Last, reach under the D/W and pull the electric wire through to wire in at the box, which is always just under the front. Don't forget to put a wire clamp on .

Many times this caused by food particles clogging the screen or blocking the jets on the spray arms. Find the screen in the bottom of your machine and clean it out. If this doesn't help, remove the spray arms and clean them out.

If it is in the raw wood, it can be pretty much impossible. If it hasn't penetrated the finish, rubbing alcohol will remove it if it doesn't affect the finish. Test before trying!

I used hairspray and it worked REALLY well on finished wood surfaces. The initial treatment left a bit of a hue on our light-colored dresser,(the sharpie was blue) but a second lighter treatment pretty much removed all of it. I used Suave, so maybe if I used a more popular and expensive brand, it would have worked the first time...HAHAHA.....this method also works well on ball-point pen ink. Your best bet with any surface like this is a product recommended by Sharpie in its FAQ: Amodex Ink and Stain Remover. It's a liquid soap that specializes in removing ink from clothes, so less pourous items like tables and counters (and skin, believe it or not) are easily cleaned by it. All you need to do is pour a little of the Amodex on the stain, let it sit for a moment, and then wipe the soap away.

If a wooden table stain is really set in there, just let the Amodex sit for a longer period of time, and/or use repeat applications. Eventually, even the toughest Sharpie stains should come out.
