What is the difference between Walt Disney and Disney movies?

User Avatar
Walt Disney was one of the founders of the Walt Disney Company. Until his death in 1966, every film released by the company was a Walt Disney film. His name became so synonymous with quality family entertainment that after he died, the company kept the Disney name when promoting their film releases, regardless of who directed or produced the movie.

What is the name of Alice's pet cat in 'Alice in Wonderland'?

User Avatar
There are two cats in Alice in Wonderland. Alice's pet cat is called Dinah, she stays in the real world and doesn't go to Wonderland with Alice. Alice frequently talks about her which frightens the animals she meets there. The other cat is the Cheshire Cat, who Alice meets in Wonderland. It is famous for appearing and disappearing, leaving just its enormous grin. It isn't Alice's, it belongs to the Duchess and doesn't have a name, it is simply known as the Cheshire Cat. What does the B in Humphrey B Bear stand for?

User Avatar
He was originally Bear Bear until renamed in a competition. Perhaps he is Humphrey Bear Bear, or the B is to distinguish him from Disney's 1950 character Humphrey Bear. Acctually the B stands for Barry. Previously, in 1953 when Walt Disney released the character Humphrey Bear, it was up for discussion that his name would rather be Barry Bear. The network decided to choose Humphrey so in the 21st century version, to honour Walt Disneys ideas, put it a B. for Barry.

What happen when Walt Disney got old?

User Avatar
In October 1966, Disney was scheduled to undergo neck surgery for an old polo injury. On November 2, 1966, during pre-surgery X-rays, doctors at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center across the street from the Disney Studio discovered that Disney had an enormous tumor on his left lung. Five days later, Disney went back to the hospital for surgery for both his neck injury, as well as to have the tumor removed, but within the short time, the tumor had spread to such great extent that the surgical doctors had to remove his entire left lung. The doctors then told Disney that he only had six months to a year to live. After several chemotherapy sessions, Disney and his wife spent a short amount of time in Palm Springs, California on vacation, before returning home. On November 30, 1966, Disney collapsed in his home from a heart attack, but was revived by fire department personnel, and was taken back to the hospital, where he died. on December 15, 1966, at 9:30 a.m., ten days after his 65th birthday. The last thing he reportedly wrote before his death was the name of actor Kurt Russell, but even Russell himself does not know what Disney meant. Disney was cremated on December 17, 1966, and his ashes reside at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. Roy O. Disney continued to carry out the Florida project, insisting that the name be changed to Walt Disney World in honor of his brother.
