No episode has shown the 8th Doctor's regeneration. He was never in any series of the show, he was in the American made TV movie and in that movie they showed the 7th Doctor regnerate into the 8th, but we don't get to see the 8th regenerate into the 9th Doctor. It goes from the movie, to the revamp in 2005 with the episod Rose where the assumption seems to be that the 9th Doctor is fairly new and possibly recently regenerated.

There are lots of places where you can get the 11th Doctors sonic screwdriver but the cheapest one I can recommend is Forbidden Planet who are selling it for £13.99. Other places I know you can get it from are Amazon, Galaxy 4, Ebay but some of those places can be pretty expensive for one as the cheapest on Amazon is £18.99 and then there isn't P&P charges added to it. If you were going to buy 1 story on DVD I would recommend The Caves of Androzani. A brilliant story starring Peter Davison as the Doctor, it is very fast paced and the tension mounts throughout the 4 episodes. It is truly a classic and should be seen as a definitive purchase.

Other alternatives are The Talons of Weing Chaing (Tom Baker) and Inferno (Jon Pertwee)

It"a originally an English comic based on a TV show Dr.Who and the Daleks- who were menacing robots but not called robots. The show or cartoon was out in the Mid-sixties One would assume the comic strip or book followed suit. It was nto produced by , to my knowledge, Century 2l (Gerry Anderson fame) Unlike say Beatles Records, British comics were never widely imported to the US except by travellers and vacationers. Some of the British comic magazines, usually black and white ran characters essentially US based but varied plot lines - This goes for other countries to, It did not take me long to decode : Stefano Ravino who appeared in one (assignment Europe) belnding military detective-type stuff with a good occult angle- rarely done well in sci-Fi but this was an exception. Lt. Ravino is assigned to patrol the area between Italy and Sicily to help prevent a border clash with the Greeks, and encounter mechanicla troub els, ejects and lands, with a female companion in the(River of No Return) tune in next month at the newstand! Heady stuff for Europe C.l966. But not Dr. Who.
