I think it is possible but you might have to have a pro dog trainer to do it. If you can not hire one you can just hold out a hoop for him to jump through. That is much easier .

It all depends on the owners schedule and the age of the puppy. On the back or the side of the bag of food you will see what that maker suggest and it divide it into weight and age. Follow that and you should be good.

Feed twice a day for a normal adult dog. Feed 3 times a day if a young pup (under 6 weeks of age).
Is the use of choke chains or half chokes for dog traing ok if used properly and with kindness?
No because even if you are trying really hard not to hurt the if he sees a squirl he will forget and go after in and all of that pressure around his neck can hurt him. Another solution is a gentle leader. Instead of hurting the dog when he pulls, the gentle leader goes around the nose and controls the direction of the dogs head. It is a safe way to walk your dog and I know from experience it is much better than any other collar. -new answer by tiger.alex- If used correctly, any collar can be a good tool. I am not one for chain collars, because they slip down and are hard to handle a dog with. Like the person above said, if you're not paying attention and the dog runs at something they can easily hurt themselves. I suggest a prong collar if you're dog is stubborn. Prong collars have been proven to do little to no damage on a dog's throat and wind pipe, even if they do pull. The key here is that you train your dog with it, not just use it as a no-pull collar. Gentle leaders are also good for some dogs, but most often the dog hates the sensation on his/her nose and will try to get it off; thus distracting the dog from training.

Well I have a 12 week old puppy and we got him a crate, which was shut overnight. He didn't have one accident in there, because he knew it was his bed, and he will not mess it up. As soon as you let him out, however, he will drip until he gets outside. Also, you should take him to one designated potty spot, so he will learn not to go inside. This can be a hard process, but it will be worth itin the end!!

Hang the bell on the door and each time you go to the door to let out your dog, ring it. As soon as the dog shows any interest in the bell at all, reward with treats. After the dog begins to touch the bell withhold treats treats until he/she touches it hard enough to make noise. Be sure to toilet your new pup in an area where strange dogs have not been. Very young puppies will not have sufficient protection from vaccinations yet to keep them safe from dangerous and potentially fatal diseases like parvo. Parvo (and other diseases) can be spread by contact with contaminated fecal material. Ask your vet when it will be safe for your puppy to have contact with unknown dogs. Until then, carry him whenever you are in an area where other dogs toilet. Just to add - places where foxes could have been are also dangerous until the puppy's vaccinations take effect. You may think that your back garden/yard has been free from strange dogs but if there's a chance that a fox has "visited" then keep the puppy away until your vet says it's ok.

One method would be to fence the yard in which you would like the dog to relieve himself. If the dog is not allowed the ability to leave the yard, he will not have the ability to defecate in your neighbor's lawn.
If your zoning laws prohibit an actual fence, there is such a thing as a virtual dog fence. In essence it is a dog collar with a small device that causes the dog some mild discomfort when he passes a boundary. This will discourage a dog from leaving your yard.
A third option is to install a dog-run wire. You attatch the dog's leash to a roller that rolls along a guide wire, which keeps the dog in your yard and out of your neighbor's.

Assuming your dog is able to reach the light switch somehow, I am guessing you would start by asking your dog to put his face close to the light switch by coaxing him with a small treat. try putting it just above the light switch so that they have to move their nose close to it to get the treat. if after trying this your dog isn't realizing that he needs to turn it on to get the treat, just get him as close to it as possible, whether it be his nose you want him to do it with or his paw(which i imagine he would need to know the
"shake" command for) then once you've got him as close in contact with it as you can get him flip on the light switch for him and praise him strongly while letting him have the treat. repeat this several times, per week, not working very long in each session, getting him closer and closer to moving the light switch himself. eventually he will see the resemblance between his being near the light switch, the light coming on, and your immediate praise, and will start making an effort to do it himself, once this happens and he is consistently turning it on himself make sure to continue training sessions with him and praising him to keep it fresh in his mind. remember while doing this, after the first 3 or 4 times maybe, to associate a verbal command with it, as short of one as possible. something like "light", "lightswitch" things like that will be retained by the dog a lot better than "go turn the light on rover". Much for the same reason as a three year old child wets the bed. It takes some time to gain control of their bodily functions, plus a little patient training. Just like a child, try not to give it water before bedtime and let it go out as often as it needs. Then you can stretch the times until the dog has figured it out and you're both on a schedule you can work with.

They don't think of names like we do. I just call the dog for a week or so by both names and drop the old name after he starts responding to the new one. Now, my dog doesn't even respond to his old name.
