Not per se. Echo location requires the animal to emit high frequency sounds then tracking targets by the reflection of that sound. Dogs do not emit high frequency sounds, but do have acutely sensitive hearing, and are able to track by distinguishing the direction from which sound originates.

Yes, Dolphins and whales let one half of their brain sleep at a time. This allows them to keep one eye open to watch for danger. They also can still surface to get air, which they couldn't do if they were all the way asleep.

dolphins have many behaviors. if you are asking about the way they act, they are like humans. they can be mean, nice, happy, sad, etc. but if you ask about their show behaviors, there are countless ones. each park thinks up new or uses older behaviors according to a dolphins strengths and what it likes to do.

dolphins play dead ..and the sharks wont eat it because the sharks like fresh meat they like to kill there food themselves where they know its fresh ..and if the dolphin plays dead then the shark will think that something else got to it before they did.

Yes, In deed they have the exact same emotions us humans have and in fact they are one of the only mammals whom can feel this human emotions, i am not sure they can act like humans like use a fork and a knife or walk with legs but I know for a fact that Dolphins can feel human emotions!

A dolphin, being a mammal, does not have scales. Dolphin skin is flaky and very sensitive. A dolphin skin cell is generally shed within 2 hours of reaching the skin surface (this is one of the keys to dolphin rapid swimming speed).

Killer whales are not considered dangerous to humans and do not prey on humans. There are accounts of killer whales turning on their keepers in Sea-world etc but these 'attacks' are extremely rare and the killer whale's in these instances did not attack the humans for food, more likely the attacks were due to frustration at being kept in captivity. Killer whales are quite capable of attacking and killing humans but choose not to, we are simply not on the menu. Sharks on the other hand are less fussy about which animals they prey on and if the shark is big enough and of the predatory variety then humans can be very much on the menu. Great whites, Bull sharks, Tiger sharks and Mako sharks kill between 3 and 4 people every year. When you compare this number to crocodiles who kill around 3000 people a year or tigers who kill hundreds of people a year it is quite clear that sharks have an undeserved reputation and the movie Jaws has a great deal to do with this.

As of mid-2008 -- this writing -- the bottlenosed dolphin is not on the endangered list. They aren't commerically hunted and have no serious predators. They have wide range of migration, and are an excellent prospect to stay off the endangered list.

Whales have lungs and come to the surface to breathe. Their nostrils called blowholes are located on the top of the head to access air easily. Whales exhale, condensation from the 2 blowholes forms a 'v-shaped' 'blow'. when they submerge they hold their breath.
