This is my Thomas he is my beautiful cat and friend. I found him at the dog rescue in Logan Co. They had him as a farm cat. I knew when I saw him he was special I got him as a kitten.. He is my buddy I love him so much. One of my friends found out what he was..I am a proud owner of him..

It depends where you live in the world. All major brands carry a food for kittens. The best foods are the ones with a high Named (labeled Chicken, Turkey, Beef, Lamb, Tuna etc.) meat content. Kittens need about twice as much Protein as adult cats, so the higher the meat content, the better. It is advisable to stay away from brands that include Corn, Wheat, Cereals and Soy in their foods - cats and kittens have difficulty in digesting this and can cause upset stomachs (diarrhea can quickly become fatal to kittens as they dehydrate easily), and do not provide any nutritional value to the kitten whatsoever.

I've read mixed things regarding burmillas as an indoor cat. Seems about 50/50. I have a burmilla who is an apartment cat - as I'd read they were good indoor cats - and I'd say he is quite high energy and you need a good amount of space still. He has a tall scratch post and a LOT of toys. We also trained him to be on a lead and he will go for 'walks' which he LOVES. He will sit by the front door crying and purrs as soon as he sees his lead. He goes in the car too. I do feel bad sometimes as I think he would really love to be outdoors more. I think possibly it depends on the individual cats temperment.

In the series WARRIORS, Firestar is the main character. His first name was Rusty when he was a house cat, but then met Thunderclan. He joined them and got his apprentice name: Firepaw. I rescued my cat from the streets.

My partner and I were walking when this boy, possibly no older than ten years old, approached us with a little kitten stuffed inside his hoodie/jacket. Naturally I went "awwww! Lookit the kitten!", then the boy offered to sell us the kitten for just £10. The boy seemed desperate to get rid of the kitten, and was headed for some big indutustrial-sized trash cans when we bumped into him. If we hadn't have taken the kitten, he would have ended up in one of those trash cans, or worse.

This tiny kitten was no older than eight weeks old when he was rescued. He is now just over a year old and is glowing in health and life.
