In what state is Dr Phil licensed?
Texas is his original licensing state.
He WAS licensed there many years ago; however, it was rescinded for sexual misconduct and impropriety.
He went to University of North Texas for his PhD, a 4th tier college, which means it has the lowest ranking. His Ph.d thesis was on the psychological effects of rheumatoid arthritis. His license was suspended and revoked for having a sexual relationship with a teenage client. He was ordered to take ethics classes, but never finished them. He currently does not hold a license to practice anywhere, nor has he held a licence for quite sometime.
Dr. Phil was informed by the shelter that the dog was a Labrador Retriever and American Eskimo dog mix. He was later ill-advised that his dog was a purebred Korean Jindo. His dog is not a Korean Jindo.
YES VERY BECAUSE HE TALKS ABOUT GAY STUFF AND HE GIVES PEOPLE IDEAS. WHAT A WIERDO -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No, I really don't think he is. I don't think there's anything wrong with giving people ideas. He's just teaching people about problems they have, and most of the time the people he has on his show ask him to help them. I think he really helps people, and (depending on the sircustance) can save lives.

Is the Dr. Phil show repetitive?
By its nature, the Dr. Phil show has to be repetitive. There are only so many topics available to the genre, so the material is shown in varying lights. Essentially, Dr. Phil highlights mental health issues and interpersonal relationships, so there are only so many ways to showcase these issues. There is no way that any topic driven show CANNOT be repetitive. By definition the shows are narrowly defined by the target audience. The Ellen Degeneres Show is defined by "celebrity" showcasing, as is The Tonight Show and Oprah. Maury is defined by "who's your daddy" sensationalism apealing to purient interests. It is just the nature of the beast, so to speak.

Do television shows like Dr Phil increase or decrease the public's perspective of psychology?
== == == == * This is a complex question. Let's face it, over 85% of people love shows that basically either bully or demean a person (I for one do not). Dr. Phil apparently is very good at this, and oh, lets not forget he chooses his subjects on shows such as Oprah's before the show airs. What person in their right mind would sit in front of millions of viewers with their problems right out there and be told off by Dr. Phil and made to feel like a child having their hands slapped not to mention feeling like a mindless idiot. Some people will do anything for money or having their face on TV (I'm talking about the people he chooses.) The man most certainly has personality and charm, but, he's dangerous! He is more circus, smoke and mirrors and I think he could damage a lot of people (there are few follow-ups of Dr. Phil's so-called help.) While he berets and accuses someone for being over-weight and they have the brains to control this weight I've noticed dear Dr. Phil has packed on a few heavy pounds of his own from the "good life." I find that Dr. Phil has lost his direction and do believe he started out by really wanting to help people, but is into more "show-off" shows and self gratification than really caring about many of the people he's dealing with that have problems. * Psychology is NOT an exact science! * He appears to be a Huckster of mediocre advice at best. Often on the TV show he comes across as rude, opinionated, and arrogant. Probably one of the reasons so many people like to watch it, kind of a highbrow version of Jerry Springer.

Why does Dr Phil have to curse on his show so much?
Because Dr. Phil is a pompeous Jerk who is so full of himself that he doesn't even know what he is talking about. He just loves to hear himself talk so he goes on and on and as far as his filthy mouth, just another ignorant example that he doesn't know what he's talking about because his vocabulary is limited as is most who curse. Again, he just loves to hear himself talk. What America has done to his ego and his stupid wealth makes me absolutely sick. He is just a shining example of what's wrong with america. People idolize the absolutely most moronic icons and make them some type of heros. I don't even know how he obtained a legit DR's title. Is that for real? But Dr.'s often have God complexes anyway and thanks to the camera, his is just way out of control.
