Hey, DQ9 fans.
Corvus, the last boss of the game is very hard as he has a move called magic burst that does about 170 DMG to the whole party! Insane!
But the reason he has moves this powerful is because he actually has very low health. He has 1150 HP, so to win, all u have to do is about 4 falcon slashes with your warrior and just like 2 other normal hits. I won in like 4 mins as i just went full out with attacking!
Another tip, don't heal at all, just attack. If u start to heal than he'll attack twice as much and as hard, so take my advice and u shall beat the game!
you have to get it through alchemy
you need to make a slood, gooey gear, and slime earings
Find it in your bag and use it, if you are in an outdoor area, you will be warped into the starlight express
You can't unless you have ulocked the ranger or gladeator vocation
Sail there, it should probably be your first destination after getting the boat.
You alchemy's it and the recipe is 3x grubby bandage- 1x brighten rock - 1xcelestial skein .
If you have beaten the other bosses such as Tyrantula, Garth Goyle, Great Lizzier, etc, then you should have all the Fyggs that you need at the moment. Stella will instruct you to go to the Starflight Express which is at the Blue Tree near Alltrades Abbey. Go back to the Starflight Express.
You need to download wifi. There is a chain of quests that all lead up to the boss, none other than the sleeping boss, Nodolph, who is pretty much a Nemean clone. Be sure to use Eye for Trouble on him.
you can make it using the Alchemy pot in the Quester's Rest in Stornway. (go through the whole Wight Knight story to get it). it's in the "items" section
theres one on every island except for domus. some you have to earn by winning tourneys, some you have to get by showing people certain monsters.
There arguably is not a 'strongest' sword in DQ9, so I will list the two contenders.
The sword with the highest attack power is the Hypernova Sword, which requires an alchemiracle. The starting point is the Stardust Sword, which must be found in high level grottoes, or if you are lucky, bought from the DQVC. Stardust sword, alchemised with one Agate of Evolution and one Silver Orb will give a Nebula Sword. Nebula Sword, plus 3 Agate of Evolution, and 3 Silver Orbs, will usually give Supernova Sword, but may produce a Hypernova Sword.
However, for any character with a strength higher than 140, an Uber Falcon Blade will do more damage than if that character were to use the Hypernova Sword, due to striking twice. That counts even more so when Falcon Slash is used. A Falcon Blade can be found on your ship, and bought from the shops in Stornway after you complete the main quest. You will need to alchemise it with a Meteorite Bracelet.
I don't know were i got them but the Snood is a pointy hat + 3 Slimedrops
and the Gooey Gear is a Garish Garb + 3 Slimedrops...
Add: you can find the Garish Garb in Coffinwell, and the She-slimes just outside Stornway easily drop the Slimedrops, you can find the Gooey Gear recipe somewhere between Angel Falls and Zere.
Once I ran into the same issue, when trying to make some sage's elixir, because the recipe requires quite a lot of nectar. A quick check of my defeated monster list revealed that nectar is occasionally dropped by, and can be stolen from, pink sanguinisfound outside Bloomingdale.
You can also come across it in grottoes, in treasure chests ranked F.
The related link, Materials Map, shows where nectar, and many other wonderful things, can be found on the ground.
Firstly you have to be at the right point in the game, ie, you've been specifically told to get there. On Wormwood Creek's map, you first need to go to the north, to a cave, where you will meet a ghost who asks for an item. The item is in Wormwood Creek's church, on the right. Then you will be sent to the Bowhole, which is also accessed from the Wormwood Creek map, in the northwest. Completing the Bowhole will give you an item which you can use to cross the canyon to the west of Wormwood Creek. After that, the path is long but fairly linear, and will lead you to Upover.
When you enter the hexigon , there will be a large hexagon shaped room , take th e first left out of that room , continue then you will see a statue, move your character to the back of the statue and interact with it . then the first door should open! hope i helped!
Realm of the Mighty. If you're post game and haven't regained your ability to use the Starflight Express yet then don't worry; they can be found in higher level grottos too.
you find the brighten rocks by killing mobs in the desert like area were thier are lvl 30 or you can find them.
TO make a GrandPa Slime on DQM Joker you'll need...King Slime + Metal King Slime & King Bubble Slime + Metal Kaiser Slime
Make sure you save BEFORE you make the 2nd pair because if u get a + and when u do the other pair and another + you'll want to be able to shut it off and retry till u get a -.To get a Metal Kaiser Slime...Metal slime + Metal slime & Liquid metal slime + Metal slime knightNote: You can get a FREE Grandpa Slime if you have encountered 200 Monsters in ur library! Either Scouted or not.Note:You can get a FREE Metal Kaiser Slime if you have gotten 150 SKILLS in ur library! To make a Metal King Slime you'll need...4 Liquid Metal Slimes which you'll need 8 Metal Slimes to get so in all you'll need either 16 Metal Slimes OR 8(-) metal slimes for matchmaking.Note: If you have a Metal Ticket you can possibly but VERY VEEEERY rarely scout a Metal King Slime (its like a 3% chance).
You get it in the Uruban Marshlands keep on going south...then you find this giant random crystal gaurded by Poisonious Watse use Safe Passege getting to it unharmed.
Then if you see a twinkling spot right next to the giant mythril cryastal press A right next to it then you get your mythril ore. They may be two or three or even one. You can sell it for 3000 gold coins if you sell it at Bloomingdale or another town cheaper then that!
If you sell it like at Gleeba or Swindimples Academy it would only be 300 if you sold it there.
Walk North of Slurry Quay to the waterfall. Walk on the rocks in the water...and pick it up.
well I say you need to be at least lv.10 and should really have these vocations:
minstrel : you
warrior: show no mercy
mage: mix it up
priest: focus on healing
also try to equipped as much as possible as it will really help to give them those tactics above in battle as the minstrel select misc tactics then change them by clicking on them and choosing :)
But here are some hints :
- A marial artist has the move 'Deliverance' used on zombie families for best results. The wight knight is part of the zombie family, so big damage there.
- Stock up on Medicinal Herbs, and if you can, using Alchemy get a few Superior medicine.
- Go to Patty's Party Planning Place and get new members. Don't forget to grind with them to level them up !! (Grinding is where you go on a monster massacre and kill them all!!
- For the best monsters, go menu, Battle Records then Defeated Monster List. Then check out all the monsters and which gives the best exp.
- Spread the herbs and medicine around wisely. Like, if you have 4 members including you, and you have 8 Medicinal Herbs you want to use. Then give two each. Also, at least get a few Superior medicine, and if you cant ... then grind level up a Priest who you can take along for the healing part
- Also, after you defeat the Wight Knight, look around on the grass near the castle. You will find his horse there grazing, then later on. A girl will be playing with him ;)
About 1500HP
And when you complete the game leviathan has around 3000 to 3400 HP and more powerful attacks and you also get a fygg off of the new leviathan to gain access to the starlight express he uses more of the whole party attacks single melee attacks and critical hits now and then to KO your character.
the house at the top has a thug in it and he says something about a fig. the house has a big hole in the back.
You in fact must get married in Dragon Quest V, it's a critical part of the storyline.
