Ike was the president who settled America down after the Korean War and WW2. The economy started to boom and he was in favor of integration. He also created the interstate highway system. He was caught having a spy plan in Russia, but that was because the Soviets were making threats toward the US and those helped us know if they were going to attack or not. There were allegations of him having affairs, but they were debunked overtime. Overall, he was a great president.

President Eisenhower also sent troops to Little Rock Arkansas regarding segregated schools and also played a role in ending Senator Joe McCarthy's Senate communist hearings.

Eisenhower feared the the communists were an international conspiracy and sought world domination. He could see communist governments popping up all over and believed they must be contained. He believed in stockpiling nuclear weapons and building the planes,carriers, missiles, and submarines needed to deliver them.

Eisenhower's main fault once on the European continent, was to try and fight a battle on a broad front, thus creating major supply and logistical problems for the front line.

A lack of understanding of warfare. Not able to make decisions and when he did was likely to change them either through subordinate pressure or political pressure from the USA.

Before taking control of the allied forces his total experience in the field was as a divisional commander ( 10/15k) men. A far cry from the 4/5 million men he was later to command.

Eisenhower made many mistakes mainly through lack of experience and through bias and prejudicial.His major and somewhat criminal blunder was not taking Berlin.

The domino theory was the idea that a world-wide communist movement would topple and take over foreign governments one by one and the fall of one free government would cause another one to fall. The theory justified the use of US military aid to help foreign governments prevent a Communist take-over.

During his presidency, Eisenhower implemented a foreign policy scheme he called the "New Look", which consisted of four parts: maintaining the vitality of the American economy while also building sufficient strength to hold off the Cold War; relying on nuclear weapons to fight that war if necessary, or simply to deter Communist aggression; using the CIA to carry out secret or covert actions against governments or leaders directly responsible to Soviet control; and strengthening ally relationships and developing friendships with unaligned countries. Using this "New Look," Eisenhower endeavored rather successfully to protect America from foreign threat during his presidency.
