How can you find the sellers fees on eBay?
Use the Help tab/link that you see at the top right of almost any eBay page then type the words "seller fees" into the Search Help Pages search box. The search results will give you the fees page as a first result, although the other results might also be of use to you so it is worth taking a look at those, too.
What is the best eBay sniping tool?
I don't know that there is a "best" eBay sniper.
A sniping service or software must be very reliable, and secure (uses SSL, etc.). After that, it comes down to taste.
Some users may like the layout or colors of a sniping site better than others.
Some users want a very simple interface with basic functions, some users will want every bell and whistle that you can think of that could go along with a sniping site.
To add to the site that was already listed here -
Hidbid.com
Bidball.com
Or about five other sites that seem to be good services.
There are a few good free services, I haven't used any of the pay services since the free ones have been fine for me. I'd recommend:
gixen.com
myibay.com
GavelThief.com, you could try
http://www.snippys.net (for eBay and Delcampeauctions websites)
Both are free for unlimited snipes, Gixen has a very cheap premium service that looks interesting (gives you desktop software, mirrored sniping server, and autosnipe browser extensions, among other things). Myibay seems to make their money from donations & selling their desktop software (the web-based version is entirely free). As for the free versions, Myibay has more features while Gixen seems easier to use.
Are there any good alternatives to eBay?
This related link is a unique bid auction site that donates to individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer. It has a different auction style that allows users access to products way below suggested retail price.
Ebay is still the 800 pound gorilla of the online auction sites, and you should use it, if you like their present policies and fees. But, there are real reasons to go to other alternative auction sites. Have you ever listed a vintage red rider BB gun, or an antique ivory letter opener on Ebay? You soon discover that the listing is terminated, you are still charged all the fees for the ended auction, and are warned that they are watching you and if you repeat listing another banned item you will be suspended. Ealtbay.com is an alternative auction site that caters to those legal to own, and sell, items that are banned on Ebay. Ealtbay encourages listing these non-Ebay items. It allows you to accept payment in any legal form of payment, including cash check, money order, other online payment options, MC, visa, and even paypal -the options are up to the seller -not controlled by the auction site. Also, Ealtbay allows negative, neutral, and positive feedback for buyers, they do not always deserve positive feedback. All together this site does offer a real alternative to the 800# gorilla.
eBid.net is one that I have heard good things of, but I have never used it personally.

How long after committing to buy do you have to pay on eBay?
Dhgate bring shame to the hardworking people of china . You are a shame on your race.
The sellers are the conmen and women of the nation who exploit the workers and use them for greed.
They also rely on the on the fact that the price of the original goods are outside the reach of the average worker here' so sell their crap to the unexpecting public here. They know it's crap but dont care ' they hope for 50%+ will work ok.

eBay does have an Australian version of their website, but the company itself is American owned.
eBay is very user friendly and easy to use. In my opinion, the "user friendliness" increases when you use Paypal, which allows for easy payments for your buyers and easy depositing into your checking account. It is also much easier when you set up your checking account with eBay so listing fees can be paid automatically.

How do you become a seller on eBay?
Firstly, you need to register to become a member of the eBay community.
Once you have registered, you then need to create a "seller account". To do that, you can click on the Seller Account link on your My eBay summary page (if you see one there). Or you can use the Sell tab and part way through creating your item listing you will be required to set up your seller account. Or you can browse the help section and set up your seller account from there.
Requirements vary for different countries, but typically, you need to provide your credit card details, your bank/checking account details and a verifiable phone contact number.
There are multiple ways to access one's eBay account. One way to access an eBay account is online from the eBay website. A second way to access an eBay account is from the eBay app using a mobile and /or a portable device.
The E in eBay stands for Echo.
Pierre Omidyar had originally named the company Echo Bay Technology. Sadly, when trying to register the domain name "echobay.com" he found that it was already being used. The site name was shortened to "ebay.com" and the rest is history.

EBay will list used treadmills. Go to www.ebay.com then do a search for used treadmills. Be sure to watch out for postage and handling. With this big an item, it can add significantly to the overall price.

You have to open up an account with eBay fill in all the usual on-line details etc
Make sure you have a pay-pal account too as it the safest way of bidding on eBay and on top of that alot of people wont accept you bid if its not anything other than pay-pal
After you've completed these 2 points you just log into your account on the eBay home page and search for you item click on it once you have found it this opens another page up which has details of the item and images of the item usually just below the picture on the top left image its says place bid you then take it from there

Is selling stuff on eBay free?
No, there are various fees and options to sell items on Ebay.
In fact, selling on eBay can end up being an extremely costly transaction. EBay is constantly revising their fee structure, but here are some of the fees you're looking to pay.
1). listing fee (between 10 cents to $4 dollars, regardless if your item sells). This is for a basic listing. If you want to add listing "addons" these will cost you more.
2). selling commission (if you sell you're item, has a fee scale) roughly 8.75% of your first $25, then 3.50% of any amount up to $1000 and so on.
3). paypal fees (if you use paypal to collect payment) - about 3% of amount collected
4). shipping fees (you'll probably be able to charge the user for this fee, but make sure you ask for enough, because otherwise you'll end up covering any shortage)
So if your auction goes for $550.00, you're going to pay the following
$4.00 listing fee
$20.55 commission to eBay
$15.95 paypal fee (paypal is owned by eBay)
Total fee of $40.50
Another alternative is to use free classified sites such as craigslist if you want to avoid fee's. However, then you have to be careful about spammers and scammers. You can always try social classifieds such as friendsell.com where more trust, control and privacy exist too.
Far from it...
it cost's to list unless you are listing on a free listing day...
it costs for certain addons such as subtitles and the final amount you receive has a final value fee deducted from it.

Can you cancel an order on eBay?
That would not be a very good idea at all. It's against eBay policy and you may receive bad feedback. Read their policies on buying.
The previous person that answered this question is hella stupid. It is NOT against eBay policies to cancel an item since people do make mistakes. All you have to do to cancel is contact the seller and explain the situation.
