What are the factors that affect the listening skills of students?

1. Delivery. Providing a variety of tones (rather than a drone) helps people listen. If you are using powerpoint, don't have every word that you are saying on the screen--just the highlights.

2. Eye contact. Powerpoint may keep you on track, but be sure to keep your eyes on the audience and connect.

3. Wait. If you ask a question, wait 20 seconds for an answer. If the person is long winded, wait until they take a breath and then jump right back in. No one really wants to hear from the audience.

4. Move around. Not necessarily pacing, but give them something different to look at.

5. Watch your mannerisms--they can be distracting.

How a teenage life in the hood does affect his life in adulthood?

The film adulthood is a drama about life on the streets; it was released in the month of June, it is presented to the audience of people age 15- 20 also it complies to both gender and all sort of race, also it teaches teens in gangs; sells drugs, prostitutes, and also kids who try to impress people by doing things like smoking buying illegal drugs. Etc. This film would be really enjoyable and interesting because it teaches people how life is on the streets and when to act like an adult and do responsible things.

The director of the film is Noel Clarke which starts in the film as Sam. Also Adam Deacon starts in the film as jay which also brings more conflict in the films because they had a conflict him and Sam.

Adulthood is a film about a young man Sam who thought he was a 'bad man and killed Trevor at the end of kidulthood and went jail for six months and also flash back was shown in films of when he was in prison where he saw Trevor's uncle and he got beaten up their and tortured, the first day back the people who he has hurt wants revenge for all he had done to them.

There is of Corse many great scenes in the film but my personal best is when noel Clarke who plays Sam and Adam Deacon who play Jay had a fight which was due to Sam killing Trevor jays best friend at the end of kidulthood. Jay wanted to get revenge and kill Sam for the sorrow he had caused hi. The director really used good techniques like close up to their face which really shows the face expression also the soundtrack that was used made you really think that, is he going to die, what's going to happen this was good it caused lots of suspense. Also Sam showed jay scares that he got from prison that he done to himself so he could kill himslef cause of the pain and sorrow he got in prison. Out of the quotes jay aid to Sam was that "am gonna take your life Sam, like you took trevs like you took mine". This really makes you think that what he means that he took his.

This film is one in a million and it would be advisable for you to go and see it because there's lot of morals in it and also educates you about the advantages and disadvantages of the streets, if you like film like kidulthood, bullet boy and films like that you will love adulthood .

When using the Cornell system is the location in which your primary notes are made while you are listening or reading material?

I assume you are referring to the Cornell System for note-taking. In this system, it does not seem to matter whether you are listening to a professor and taking notes, or whether you are reading something and taking notes. This system gives you tips for taking your notes effectively and making sure you have the key concepts.

It divides the page into a cue column (to help jog your memory and recall key facts-- this is NOT used while taking notes, but rather, it is used later, when you review your notes); a brief summary at the bottom of the page; and then the rest of the page is the note-taking area. I enclose a link to an example of how you use this method to take notes.

Can you give an article about the growing need for vocational education?

Hundreds and thousands of B.A.'s and M.A.'s are turned be every year out of the universities of our country. They run after petty jobs. But all of them do not even get such low paid services.

As a result, the problem of unemployment daily grows more acute. Besides having these defects, the present system of education is proving harmful in other ways also. It is quite unsuitable for the needs of modern India.

Our country is quite rich in natural resources. But still our people are very poor. We do not know how to make the best use of our natural gifts. We do not have enough young men properly trained to exploit these resources. Only Technical and Vocational Education can give us expert engineers, technicians and mechanics. They are needed in large number in our country. So there is great need of such education.

Large number of educated young men to-day are fit only for office work. This is the fault of their defective education. The increasing number of educated young men every year makes the problem of unemployment very serious. If, during their education period, they are taught to do so many things with their own hands, many of them will not like to enter service. It is necessary, therefore, that young men should be trained in different vocations of their choice. This will enable them to start their own business. They will become independent workers. They will no longer run after petty jobs. The problem of unemployment will be solved.

Untrained workers cannot do their work efficiently. An untrained teacher cannot teach with the same efficiency as a trained teacher does. So is the case with all other workers. We want efficient and skilled workers in all vocations. This can be possible only if they are given vocational and technical training.

This is the age of large scale industries. Large factories are necessary for economic development. We cannot make much progress in the industrial field without a sufficient number of technically trained hands. Without efficient and trained experts we can not compete with other countries. For rapid industrialization of the country, more and more young men must be given technical education. It is the need of the hour. We cannot ignore it.

If we look towards other countries, we find that only those countries are great which are scientifically and technically advanced. Many of the powerful and great countries are not rich in natural resources like our own country, yet they are known throughout the world for their might and progress. Only technical education has placed them in such an honorable position. Our own country can easily surpass them, if we begin to give technical and vocational training to more and more young men. IT is thus clear, that the need of such training in our country is very great. Our progress depends solely upon it.

It is a happy sign that the government is fully alive to this problem. Since independence many technical and vocational institutions have been established throughout the country. There is a net-work of Medical colleges, Engineering institutions, and Agricultural colleges. There are also Industrial Training Institutes for those who have passed only Junior High School or Higher Secondary Examinations.

However, technical education alone cannot solve the problem of unemployment. Family planning and population control are also a must for the purpose.

What is the importance of decentralization in education?

  1. Lower level managers may make decisions without fully understanding the "big picture." While top level managers typically have less detailed information about local operations than the lower level managers, they usually have more information about the company as a whole and should have a better understanding of the company's strategy.
  2. In a truly decentralized organization, there may be a lack of coordination among autonomous managers. This problem can be reduced by clearly defining the company's strategy and communicating it effectively throughout the organization.
  3. Lower-level managers may have objectives that are different from the objectives of the entire organization. For example, some managers may be more interested in increasing the sizes of their departments than in increasing the profits of the company. To some degree, this problem can be overcome by designing performance evaluation system that motivate managers to make decisions that are in the best interests of the organization.
  4. In a strongly decentralized organization, it may be more difficult to effectively spread innovative ideas. Someone in one part of the organization may have a traffic idea that would benefit other parts of the organizations, but without strong central direction the idea may not be shared with, and adopted by other parts of the organization.

Irrespective of the catalogue of laudable merits of the use of drama as a teaching methodology, it has areas of weaknesses amongst which are
