What is ahmadiyat?

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a dynamic, fast growing international revival movement within Islam. Founded in 1889, it spans over 200 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions. Its current headquarters are in the United Kingdom.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the only Islamic organization to believe that the long-awaited Messiah has come in the person of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) (1835-1908) of Qadian. Ahmad(as) claimed to be the metaphorical second coming of Jesus(as) of Nazareth and the divine guide, whose advent was foretold by the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad(sa). Ahmadiyya Muslim Community believes that God sent Ahmad(as), like Jesus(as), to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice and peace. Ahmad's(as) advent has brought about an unprecedented era of Islamic revival. He divested Islam of fanatical beliefs and practices by vigorously championing Islam's true and essential teachings. He also recognized the noble teachings of the great religious founders and saints, including Zoroaster(as), Abraham(as), Moses(as), Jesus(as), Krishna(as), Buddha(as), Confucius(as), Lao Tzu and Guru Nanak, and explained how such teachings converged into the one true Islam.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the leading Islamic organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) emphatically declared that an aggressive "jihad by the sword" has no place in Islam. In its place, he taught his followers to wage a bloodless, intellectual "jihad of the pen" to defend Islam. To this end, Ahmad(as) penned over 80 books and tens of thousands of letters, delivered hundreds of lectures, and engaged in scores of public debates. His rigorous and rational defenses of Islam unsettled conventional Muslim thinking. As part of its effort to revive Islam, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community continues to spread Ahmad's(as) teachings of moderation and restraint in the face of bitter opposition from parts of the Muslim world.

Similarly, it is the only Islamic organization to endorse a separation of mosque and state. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) taught his followers to protect the sanctity of both religion and government by becoming righteous souls as well as loyal citizens. He cautioned against irrational interpretations of Quranic pronouncements and misapplications of Islamic law. He continually voiced his concerns over protecting the rights of God's creatures. Today, it continues to be an advocate for universal human rights and protections for religious and other minorities. It champions the empowerment and education of women. Its members are among the most law-abiding, educated, and engaged Muslims in the world.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the foremost Islamic organization with a central spiritual leader. Over a century ago, Ahmad(as) reminded his followers of God's promise to safeguard the message of Islam through khilafat (the spiritual institution of successorship to prophethood). It believes that only spiritual successorship can uphold the true values of Islam and unite humanity. Five spiritual leaders have succeeded Ahmad(as) since his demise in 1908. It's fifth and current spiritual head, Mirza Masroor Ahmad, resides in the United Kingdom. Under the leadership of its spiritual successors, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has now built over 15,000 mosques, over 500 schools, and over 30 hospitals. It has translated the Holy Quran into over 70 languages. It propagates the true teachings of Islam and the message of peace and tolerance through a twenty-four hour satellite television channel (MTA), the Internet (alislam.org) and print (Islam International Publications). It has been at the forefront of worldwide disaster relief through an independent charitable organization, Humanity First.

What is the meaning of emanate?

to come or send forth, as from a source-answers.com dictionary

What is the meaning of the name shirk?

This is the type of name which can occur in different places and from different sources, and consequently may have different meanings. There is a Gaelic root which might mean 'loving'.

In Islam, shirk means the sin of believing in many gods or attributing the qualities of Almighty to anybody else, but it seems unlikely anyone would adopt the name from that root!

What do muslims believe about shirk?

According to the holy Qur'an, shirk is the geratest and unpardonable sin.

Muslims must face what to pray?

Muslims face Ka'aba in Mecca to preform Salat (prayers).

What does the Arabic word shirk mean?

Shirk means to associate Partners with Almighty Allah (God). It is of two kinds

1. Shirk in Person. To say that there are two or more gods along with Almighty Allah. These gods also deserve worship. They enjoy equal powers to Almighty Allah.

2. Shirk in the Attributes (Qualities/capabilities) of Allah. To accept that there only One Almighty Allah, yet there are some pious people/peers/aulias/ deities / who can work in the scheme of universe and can exercise their powers to give benefit or to do harm to people against the Will of Almighty Allah. People call upon these personalities (dead or alive) for help. This is also Shirk.

The opposite of Shirk is Tauheed. To believe that there is no god except ONE and ONLY Almighty Allah. He has no Son, No Parents, No Partner and No Associate what so ever. He and He alone deserves Worship.

Why have you come in this world?

Because God or Allah made me be alive and see the day in which I would come out of my mother's stomach

What is fake about Islam?

Opinionated Argument: There is NOTHING fake about ISLAM

How Can u Say That Islam Is a Fake

Factual Argument: Islam is one of a few religions that sends its prayers to their god through a magical rock they believe fell from the heavens. Those are natural beliefs for underdeveloped societies, but in this day and age we understand space and we know if a rock enters our world from the sky it is a meteor. It has been stated many times that they preach two options to the non believers "infidels", we either give ourself to Allah or die, and that in itself is not the ideology of a religion, but that of a cult.

Fact:

The religion of Islam was created by a man who spent most of his early life as a merchant. He married his wife, who also was a major trade merchant in the area; so that he could have a complete monopoly over land trade in the area.

He was trying to successfully create and control a standing army to help conquer other small tribes in the area; insuring his dominance in the area's land trade.

The Qu'ran was written around 600 A.D., with promises to his soldiers if they followed his command. They had the bad habit of leaving their posts to loot the dead for spoils of victory. If his followers died in battle, that they would be promised paradise in the afterlife.

Response:

We don't objectively know when the Koran was written and by whom.

There are no corroborative texts in history.

The same way we don't know for sure whether the Muhammad as described in the Islamic trilogy of Koran/Sunnah/Sirat really existed. There is no Arabic text confirming or contradicting this.

All we can do is ascertain whether or not the claims and assertions made by Muslims can be confirmed or whether they are fake. So the claim that Muslims invented algebra and named it algebra from al-jabr, can be shown as being a false or fake claim because history proves that algebra existed 1000s of years earlier and is still evolving today. The name chosen is indeed of Arabic origins.

Why is shirk wrong?

Let us first decide what shirk is:

Shirk is wrong for many reasons. As Almighty Allah is the Sole Creator, Sustainer, Provider, and Ruler of all worlds, Only He deserves worship. It is the most hateful Injustice to associate Partners, Off-spring, Parents etc. to Him. Almighty Allah is Most Merciful, Oft-Forgiving, He may forgive any other sin, but He shall NEVER forgive Shirk. It's the Greatest Injustice, Zulmun Azim.

Why should you not do shirk?

Shirk is the greatest sin. It means associating partners with Allah Karim. We must believe in the ONENESS of Almighty Allah (GOD).

Which actions are considered shirk?

Shirk is the greatest sin.

To accept that there only One Almighty Allah, yet there are some pious people/peers/aulias/ deities/ who can work in the scheme of universe and can exercise their powers to give benefit or to do harm to people against the Will of Almighty Allah. People call upon these personalities (dead or alive) for help. This is also Shirk. May Allah save us from shirk.

You have committed shirk?

Literally, Shirk means partnership. In Islam, following acts are called shirk:

1. Attributing any Partner, Son, Parents, Off-spring or Associate whatsoever to the ONE and ONLY Almighty Allah (God).

2. Killing any innocent human (irrespective of his caste, creed, color, country, religion)

3. Even halal (otherwise declared legal/halal) animals or birds slaughtered in the name of or attributed to any idol, holy man, any Deity.

4. Worshiping anything/anyone else than Almighty Allah.

What was the Battle of coleto creek?

they were all killed by being executed. because to Santa Anna they were all traitor's, and he wanted them all killed.

Why is shirk the worst sin?

The opposite of Shirk is Tauheed. Let us understand the difference between the two. Belief in Almighty Allah (God) Sura Baqra -2. Aya 163: "And your Allah is ONE Allah, There is no god but He…." He is the Sole Creator, Sustainer, Provider, Helper and Ruler of the Universe. He has No Son, No Parents, No Off-spring. He is Omnipotent, Omni-Present, All-Knowing, All-Seeing, All-Listening. HE and He alone deserves worship. All powers lie in His Mighty Hands. He alone is the Master of the Day of Judgment. He has No Partner, No Associate, whatsoever. No one can understand Him completely. All honor, respect, admiration is due to Him. NO ONE can help anybody, not even his own self, if He does not wish. NO ONE can do any harm to anybody if he does not wish so. Even all the holy Prophets (May blessings of Allah Almighty be on them all) joined together can't create a blade of grass against His Will. There is Nothing like Him. He is Most Merciful, Most Gracious, Most Forgiving.

Now we come to Shirk and its kinds. Following are two kinds of shirk:

1. Shirk in the personality of Almighty Allah. Having this belief that there are other gods as well who deserve same respect and should be worshipped as Almighty Allah.

2. Shirk in the Attributes of Almighty Allah. Having this belief that Allah Almighty has delegated some of His powers to Prophets or holy people. They can also exercise these powers independently as and when they like. Now you can think for yourself how shirk is contrary to the Belief in Oneness (Tauheed) of Almighty Allah.

Thus Shirk is the Unpardonable sin. It is the greatest Injustice to worship any other than Almighty Allah as He alone deserves it.

What does shirk mean?

General Definition

It depends on the context.

It generally means: to avoid or neglect (a duty or responsibility). -- i.e. He shirked his duty to provide me the documents on time. (He failed to do his duty...)

However, in the case of Islam, shirk means: to bring [other deities] into partnership to Allah. -- i.e. to blaspheme, to apostasize, to be a polytheist or atheist.

Further to the Islamic Definition

Shirk means attributing partners to Allahu ta'ala. A person who does the attributing is called a mushrik(polytheist). There are kinds of disbelief. The worst, the gravest kind is shirk. It has been a generally accepted rule that when several subjects are to be referred to under one common nomenclature, the gravest one is mentioned. For this reason, the word shirk used in Qur'anic verses and hadith-i sharifs comprehends all sorts of disbelief.

The Qur'an al-karim says (what means):

(Allahu ta'ala never forgives shirk[all sorts of disbelief]. He forgives [all] sins [venial or grave] except shirk if He wills.) [An-Nisa' 48]

The Master did that also for an unknown guest. Then the Arab demanded fare for a pony. The Master directed the Arab to take the money from a certain shopkeeper. How do you pray in the Muslim way?

Five times each day, Muslims bow down to Allah in prayer. If you are learning how to pray, or are just curious about what Muslims do during prayer, follow along with these general guidelines.

  1. Make sure your body and place of prayer are clean. Make the intention to perform your obligatory prayer.
  2. Standing, raise hands up and say "Allahu Akbar" (God is Most Great).
  3. Standing with hands folded over chest, recite the first chapter of the Qur'an in Arabic. Then recite any other verses of the Qur'an that you would like.
  4. Raise hands up, saying "Allahu Akbar." Bow, reciting three times, "Subhana rabbiyal adheem" (Glory be to my Lord Almighty).
  5. Rise to standing while reciting "Sam'i Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana WA lakal hamd" (God hears those who call upon Him; Our Lord, praise be to You).
  6. Raise hands up, saying "Allahu Akbar." Prostrate on the ground, reciting three times "Subhana Rabbiyal A'ala" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High).
  7. Rise to a sitting position, saying "Allahu Akbar." Prostrate again in the same manner.
  8. Rise to a standing position, saying "Allahu Akbar."
  9. This concludes one "rak'a" (cycle or unit of prayer). Begin again from Step 3 for the second rak'a.
  10. After two rak'as, one remains sitting after the prostrations and recites the first part of the Tashahhud in Arabic.
  11. If the prayer is to be longer than these two rak'as, one now stands up and continues the remaining one or two rak'as (but saying in each only the first chapter of Qura'n) to complete the prayer, sitting again after all rak'as have been completed.
  12. Recite the both the first and the second part of the Tashahhud in Arabic.
  13. Turn to the right and say "Assalamu alaikum WA rahmatullah" (Peace be upon you and God's blessings).
  14. Turn to the left and repeat the greeting.

Tips:

  1. If Arabic is not your native tongue, learn the meanings in your language while trying to memorize the Arabic.
  2. Software programs are available that can help you learn the correct positions and Arabic pronunciations. Better yet, pray with other Muslims to learn.

Difference between monotheism and polytheism?

Monism is the philosophical view that a variety of existing things can be explained in terms of a single reality or substance. The main forms of religious monism are:

  • Pantheism - the belief that everything composes an all-encompassing, immanent God or that the universe (or nature) is identical with divinity. Pantheists do not believe in a personal or anthropomorphic god.
  • Panentheism - a belief that the divine (be it a monotheistic God, polytheistic gods, or an eternal cosmic animating force), interpenetrates every part of nature, but is not one with nature.
Monotheism is simply the belief that there is one god. This belief can be consistent with monism, however the major monotheistic religions are not monistic.

When she reached Al- Marwa (for the last time) she heard a voice and she asked herself to be quiet and listened attentively. She heard the voice again and said: '0, (whoever you may be)! You have made me hear your voice; have you got something to help me?' And behold! She saw an angel at the place of Zam-zam, digging the earth with his heel (or his wing) till water flowed from that place.
