Why abu bakr is called Savior of Islam?
Answer:
No one is called a 'savior', in Islam. Only God is the Savior. Abu Bakr is called "As-Siddiq", meaning he is one of those followers of a prophet of God who is foremost in belief.
"Siddiq" comes from the word that means "to verify the truth of". He got that title the day that a polytheist came to him and told him that his friend Muhammad (peace be upon him) was going around saying that he had travelled from Mecca to Jerusalem - in only one night. The polytheists thought that was their chance to ridicule him - and drive people to disbelieve in him. Of course, later that morning, Muhammad gave them all proof that he went to Jerusalem.
So when Abu Bakr was told that the Prophet was making such a ridiculous claim, Abu Bakr replied with : "If Muhammad is saying that he went to Jerusalem and back in one night . . . then he DID".
So he is As-Siddiq. The one who lived in the time of the Prophet, and testified to his truth.
May Allah bless Abu Bakr As-Siddiq !!! May Allah cause us to join him, and the Prophet, and Omar and Uthman and Ali, and all the companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Paradise. Aameen. (Amen).
True. "Savior' in its literal meaning is only Almighty God (Allah). But Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RAU) is considered 'savior' of Islam relatively keeping in view his services to the cause of Islam.
Hazrat Abu Bakar (RAU) was the FIRST free man who embraced Islam without asking any question or raising any doubt. Since his first day till his last day he stood by the Holy Prophet (SAW) through thick and thin. He is the Only blessed Muslim who has been given the title of 'Friend in the Cave' by Almighty Allah. He followed and loved the Holy Prophet (SAW) from the depths of his heart as no one else ever has. He surpassed in his love for the Holy Prophet (SAW) and Islam.
He is rightly considered the Saviour of Islam as at the sudden and unexpected passing away of the Holy prophet (SAW), it was he who amicably resolved the question of Caliphate that rose between the Ansaar (Helpers) and the Muhajreen (people who migrated from Makka to Madina).
Soon after, many tribes refused to pay Zakat. Some False people claimed prophet-hood. These were extremely painful days for Islam. It was this dauntless Rightful Caliph of Rasool (SAW) who fought against all these heavy odds and saved Islam.

What Muslim group accepts only the descendants of the Umayyads as rightful rulers of Muslims?
There is no such group. The Umayyads were supported by the Sunnis because they had temporal power, but the Sunnis never had a requirement that the ruler need be a descendant of the Umayyads; their precondition for having the right to rule was having the power to effectively govern.
Perhaps this question confuses the Shiite requirement that a rightful ruler be a descendant of Ali ibn AbuTalib. Ali and the Umayyads were enemies and are in-no-way related.

Angels' purpose is to minister to those who are saved, the Bible says. They are not to be worshiped as you can see in the account of Samson's parents in the book of Judges and other places in scripture. They are messengers also as can be seen all through the Bible.
