Other plants on the list include the Jamaican broom, the Mexican flannel bush, the listeria auriculata, and the pink lady's slipper. The Puerto Rico maidenhair fern and the greenflower Indian mallow plants are also on the list.

They don't die from laying eggs, but from an evolutionary standpoint, there is no reason for a species to live past an age when it can reproduce. Almost every species on the planet dies at about the age when it can no longer reproduce, butterflies included. Humans have artificially extended our lives with modern medicine, making us one of the few exceptions to this rule. (thank God for that!) :)

Troodon is a saurischian.

According to National Geographic, sea otters are found near the coast and islands along the Pacific coast of North America and Asia. They are capable of eating, sleeping, mating, and giving birth in the sea. However, some do come ashore to sleep.

The Grevy's zebra is the only endangered species. The plains zebra is still quite common, and the mountain zebra is listed as vulnerable. The Grevy's zebra suffered from overhunting and disease, but now figures show the numbers are slowly increasing. Still, with an estimated total population of a few thousand, the Grevy's zebra still has a way to go to get back to near normal levels.

Evolution is the term that describes development of new species and mass extinction. Over time all living thing have evolved.

One of the major causes of present day species extinction is to be blamed on humans. Humans have taken over land driving out animals. Humans have developed the land without taking care to prevent pollution properly which destroys resources for the animals.

The background rate of extinction is much smaller than those that occur during a mass extinction. For example, carnotaurus sastrei went extinct during the mid-Cretaceous, when only a handful of dinosaurs went extinct. On the other hand, 65 million years ago, all dinosaurs went extinct during the K/T mass extinction event.

This question is slightly confusing. What exactly does it mean? Though I will try and answer.

This is more of a viewpoint sort of thing. A question that can be put up for debate. Some people think that we should just let the animals be. Life is life, if they go extinct it doesn't matter. Others think that we should protect animals endanger of becoming extinct.

Standing at a logical point of view. It depends on the animal. If the animal it necessary for the environment then no it should not need to go extinct. If the animal is not necessary then let nature take it's course.

ANSWER: Animals are endangered due to many different factors although it is true that in many cases humans are largely responsible for endangering animals. Humans may take the land that an animal is using for a habitat and then the space may be used for other things. Humans are responsible for the killing of animals; for food and resources but also sometimes just for a sport such as fox hunting. Also, natural factors could cause animals to become endangered. The world is always changing. Natural disasters cause a big impact of animal species but also smaller natural factors may cause problems. In addition, global warming and pollution may cause a species to become endangered because the conditions, for example the temperature, that the animals are used to living in could be changed and therefore the animal may not be able to adapt appropriately.

When the dodo bird was first discovered it was considered to be a valuable food source for passing ships. It was easy to catch and tasty. Now that the dodo is extinct it is useful as a valuable lesson on how harmful mankind can be to the environment and the importance of not taking more than nature can sustain.

All species of living shark lack vocal chords, so it is highly unlikely that Megalodon was capable of making any sound.

Gorgonops and its relatives died out in the End Permian Extinction Event. There are many hypotheses as to its cause, but some scientists think it was due to an extended period of massive volcanic eruptions.

The megalodon shark was the largest shark that ever lived. If they were alive today, they would swallow large amount of fish and there would be no more left for us. So, its a good thing they are extinct!

The Meshippus is the same as the Miohippus and they had long legs to make them faster. So i don't think they were eaten by predators maybe but i don't know which kind of them.

Marine biologists believe C. megalodon was viviparous, keeping its young developing internally until their birth. In other species, such as the great white shark, the young hatch from eggs inside the female and feed on unhatched eggs until they mature enough and are set loose.

The Megalodon is believed to have become extinct 1.5 million years ago. It's fossil records indicate that it was around 12 to 18 meters long, and thus was the largest predator of the open seas. Ever. The mainstream scientific community believes the animal quite dead and long gone. There are, however, a few that claim that the megalodon could, in fact, still exist in the unexplored depths of the ocean. They reference such animals as the megamouth shark, a 5 to 6 meter long shark that was not discovered until 1976, as proof that there could be large undiscovered animals yet in the deeps. As well, sharks do not have float bladders and hence, upon death, their bodies would sink to the bottom and quickly decompose (they have few bones, being made mostly of flesh and cartilage). Further, they would have no cause to come too close to the surface, where they might be seen, as there is an ample food supply of giant squid, crabs, tube worms and other animals that it could feed upon to sustain its enormous size.

The majority of scientists remain unmoved by the above arguments as many megalodon fossils have been found in rivers, suggesting the shark to have prowled closer to shorelines, and thus it is unlikely for them to have gone to the deeps. Further, such a ferocious creature - it had a mouth wide enough to engulf a small car - would leave signs of its presence on the hides of deep diving whales, such as sperm whales, which bear the scar marks of battles with giant squid.

Although one video may suggest proof of a megalodon, as it's movement is very slow (due to its enormous size). This may very well be another example of species thought to be extinct, yet still living in the depths of the ocean.

Keep in mind that 2/3 of our oceans have not been explored, especially not the deepest, darkest parts. The megalodon is thought to have gone extinct 1.5 million years ago, but some people say they are still alive. The megalodon was 3 times the size of the great white, up to 55 to 60 feet in length. Its fossilized teeth have been found all over the world.
