Hello - There are two types of blood pregnancy test. * Qualiative Beta Hcg. * Quantitative Beta Hcg. The Quantitative Beta Hcg pregnancy blood test is the most accurate blood test availble for determining and confirming pregnancy. It works by measuring the exact amount of Hcg present in the Womans blood. If your Hcg level is 5 and over then this is deemed a positive result. The Qualiative Beta Hcg pregnancy blood test is very similar to the Quantitative blood test but not as accurate during early pregnancy. The Qualiative is very similar to a urine pregnancy test and it only looks for a certain level or amount of Hcg in your blood and because of this, it is possible to mis-diagnose early pregnancy. For example the Qualiative will deem a Woman pregnant is she has 50mml of Hcg in her blood but if the Woman only had 48mml of Hcg in her blood then this test would declare a negative result when in fact she would be pregnant. Any Hcg result over 5 is a positive. Always go for the Quantitative. If you did have the Quantitative then unfortunately you are not pregnant hun. Otherwise see your doctor for a repeat test with the Quantitative. ~ T

No, concentration of hormones and other chemicals filtered from the blood in urine would actually increase with less urine volume. Pregnancy tests look for specific hormones in your urine. It's not likely that dehydration could cause this unless it was a sign of another health problem that was interfering with your pregnancy.

a line is a line.. and 2 lines means a positive test.. however your light line can just be from testing pretty early! or it could be due to a chemical pregnancy, in which case your period would start. To know, I would say to do another test again in a couple days, with the first urine of the morning and see if it gets darker or has gone negative. ~pawsalmighty

Depending on how much time passed before it said postive I would say no. Just take another test to see for sure.

the test is counting your HCG level normally it is very low in the single digits when you become pregnant your levels are in the thousands so wait a couple weeks and see what the blood work says it is the most accurate form of pregnancy test hope everything works out Good Luck and God Bless!!!

Hi, It is possible to be pregnant and have a negative urine pregnancy test. It is also possible you could be pregnant with a negative blood test providing that the blood test was performed too early. This could also be why the ultrasound showed signs of pregnancy. Also if you miscarried recently without you knowing, it is possible the ultrasound picked up the sac minur the embryo. If a embryo is picked up on the ultrasound then you're pregnant hun.

Have you had a missed period yet. Maybe you should try again. Sometimes you don't have enough hormones in your urine yet for it to show up. I think you should see a doctor.

I had a ectopic pregnancy at the end of Febuary. The doctor should had let you know if your hcg were going downn or still high. I was told to wait at least one period before I try to get pregnant again. If you did wait at least one period you might be pregnant. To be sure I would go get a blood test.

It is correct that it may take 6 weeks for HCG to fall back after an ectopic, but you cannot tell if you are pregnant from one level, you need a second check to see if levels are falling.

Some symptoms for pregnancy and menstruation are similar. If you now got your period, and sometimes it's late/early, and all the tests said negative, it doesn't sound like you are pregnant. You can take new tests in a few days though when you period is over.

I went for IVF for this cycle. ET was on Day 5 as blastocyrst. Went for the blood test 18 March-2010. Result came with low positive. Now i had dark brown discharges yesterday and this morning getting bleeding but not as a regular.

yes you definatly are, the same happened to me when i fell pregnant had the same symptoms with cramps etc, i had to take atleast another 6 tests before i believed it .
